Default 1973 Corvette C3 Stingray LHD.

Name: Ethan, This was my Dads little red Corvette, But unfortunately his time came to an end on the 17/7/10. It was dads pride and joy and was handed down to me.

Model: 1973 Corvette C3 Stingray. Left hand drive.

    Colour: Red

Bodykit: These things dont need body kits.

    Engine Type: 350 Chev.

    Odometer:
    56xxx Miles

Engine Mods: I don't know them all off by heart, But it has a cam, Fuelie heads, 750 Holley etc.

Power: Un-tested, But I am going to put it on the dyno for the old boy.

    Exhaust: Twins.

Gearbox: Muntsi 4 spd? (Quote me on that spelling)

    Diff: LSD

Brakes: Standard as far as I know

    Suspension: Pedders rear shocks.

    Wheels/Tyres:
    255/60/15

    Interior:
    All standard leathre.

    Other Mods:
    Musical air horns.

    Stereo:
    Stanard radio.

    Future Mods:
Full re spray, And drive it when ever I can, Dad bought it to be driven, Not hiden.
I'm not legally able to drive it for another 3 months.
But I have and exemption till tomorrow as they let me drive it to Dads funeral.
Possibly do a few more engine power mods, But I want the interior smicko as well.

Wow... sorry to hear about your old man mate.

Amazing car though, it's wonderful that your father was able to leave you something that he would of had such a personal attachement to.

    Look after her aye!

It took dad 48 years to own one.
It was his dream car, He owned thousands of cars before hand, But this was the one car he dreamed of.

    Thanks for your kind words.

The hole changing gears with your right hand feels weird for a few changes then gets pretty cruisey.
The main thing that I am constially watching is accidentally being on the middle line in the road.

But its not as hard as you think it is lol.

    Couple photos.
We ran a Cruise and a family fun day yesterday for the Connery Heart unit at the John Hunter Hospital (Newcastle) and raised close to $1000.
The Vet was the main attraction, I snuck in the the drive haha.

Sorry to hear about your old man mate, even though this thread is old, still, not a good thing mate.
All that said though, the tatt is beyond awesome and getting left something your dad clearly loved is a gift from him to you mate.
When I build my VK in a few years I plan on leaving to my future kids haha.

We all know death is certin and life isn't, But you never think about the what if's and it's so easy for your hole life to change within minutes. Hasn't been the easiest process but working through it =)

Dad leaving me the Vette was awesome, No one has enough money to replace it basically. Its with me for life lol. =p
So having something to leave to your kids will make you feel great about your self!

Clean it up and park it and sit next to it and drink beer... don't modify it, keep it just the way your Dad had it.. Well that's what I'd do anyways...

    Condolences mate.
