you can put it on a container if you like, it will then sit at the docks awaiting customs clearance and itll cost you 60 dollars per day till you send it back, or cut it in half at the docks and declare it a wreck.
you need to contact a RAW who has approval to import/plate camaro's. they are the only ones who have the authority to apply for import approvals on cars that are being imported with the intent to drive in australia.
i think compliance costs on the camaros (through most of the guys who have approval) is somewhere around 45K. import duties and GST is not too bad, something like 17% of the purchase price in total, shipping is 3k though kiwi car carrier, who pick up and drop off which IMO is a brilliant service. but i am still unsure if these are likely to get slugged with the luxury car tax or not.
