Default My Skyline Project Carbon in the UK

Chaps this is what I was working on before moving out to Saudi Arabia with work. I used to have my own business making and selling Dry carbon fiber products for Skylines. Here's a few pics of the good old days before the V8 came along out here.

um i dunno, R32 GTR, R34 GTR... a series 1 R33 GTsT skyline is just a boring passenger car, and no amount of carbon fibre will change that fact.

Haha. I do have a bit of a love for R34's. Mad car, even more respect for the new GT-R. Wouldn't touch a 31, 32 or a 33. Get an S15...WOOOO!

although S15's are great fun little cars, i disagree on the 32 point. IMO 32's were the best setup out of all of them. nothin like CHUCKING it into a corner with your foot buried, getting a little bit of tail then front kicks and off you go great fun.

I find that rather an entertaining comment, considering the new GT-R's are a ridiculously good looking car with performance that is unparalleled for it's price range. It is one serious car, you can be the biggest Nissan hater in the world and if you disagree with me then something is wrong!

Yeah true, 32's are a good car, my mate has one as his permanent drift/track car. Just don't really appeal to me. As a track car, yep definately I'd have any of them, but street car. nah I'll pass.

I just hate the fact they changed the car so much, it is so far from what a skyline is and was...
I do not say it is not awesome as a car...
But as a skyline? It is not

um, actually. i am a HUGE nissan fan, and i cant stand the new GTR. dont even think its worthy of the GTR badge, they shouldve just called it a peugot. no inline 6 (which is was the GTR signature for like 30 years) hideous looking, completely plastic, astronomical repair bills.

it will NEVER be a classic car. itll just date, and everyone will come out of their coma and realise how much of a pig it actually is.

    soz, but it is.

    I agree with you 110% ari666
Change in engine was wat killed it for me more than the look of it,
Comparable to bringing out the next monaro with a straight 8 in it,
    AND THE PRICE?
Give me half that amount to spend and i would get a 32gtr and still have enough left over to build it up to whoop a 35's ass

There are reasons why they dropped the straight 6...logical ones at that.

And give someone that same amount to spend on the 35 and off they go. Using stupid sayings like that is pointless. Fact is, the R35 is the best GTR nissan have bought out. What other models have matched their times?

Anyway, way to hijack someones my ride thread guys.

yes. i apologise. pretty rubbish thread jack, so i am sorry.

back to the question: do you make anything for other skylines? i may be able to sell a bit of stuff for you if you make anything for R32 or R34's. i dont really deal with 33's anymore.

Interesting comments, I couldn't afford a GTR at the time. I have a soft spot for the R34 GTR. However I think my R33 GTST is so much fun with 320hp and rear wheel drive. They can be endlessly tuned and good value for money at the moment. As for carbon, the only thing I can get for the R34 is wing mirrors as I no longer have the business. My molds are in Asia and I could get them made on a group buy basis or individually. These mirrors come as a shell which needs the mirror swapping for old unit. Very easy to do.

as far as I know, no other company make these and only two ever fitted, so uber rare!

Would there be any call for Commodore carbon?

Carbon door cards, centre consoles and all plastic interior bits would be awesome, but thats a heap of differant commys to cover.. vn, vp, vg, vq, vr, vs.. Could all be covered with the same bits... Eh dunno

I'll have to have a think about it, the problem with interior bits is the fittings on the back, have to make intricate parts. Not easy, I don't like making parts that you have to stick on or drill. Direct replacement was always my concept. There must be some parts which are interchangeable between models.
