regardless of the lack of commodores, that was a good day


had to get new tyres for the sisters car, so i could steal my 17s back for roady, while at the tyre shop, i had them look up in their special book, and it turns out that 215/35r18 tyres are legal to fit on 8.5" wheels, was not expecting that, so if i could find a 215/35 in a 90 load rating, theyd be 100% legal, stretch and all!!

raised the car today. rear has stock springs with the aftermarket shocks(see if he passes them as old ones were knackered). front i put new bumpstops and boots on the struts the car came with(theyre factory bmw struts, so cant say theyre too low), but put some different springs in. if it doesnt pass ill swap the boots over to my other struts with stock springs.

That looks like it will be a better matched setup to the LS1 T56 than a ground-hugger anyway

thinking itll prolly stay higher than it was(but not how it is now, rears waaaay too high), and the newest wheels i got for it, ill see how wide a tyre i can get on without scrubbage

got a new muffler yesterday. still loudish, hopefully it passes

flushed the brake fluid today, which was on the rwc list

and whilst under the car i took this picture for lolz(it appears to be a protective cover over the cat)

so the car passed rwc monday, and i got the defect cleared. ive been too lazy to convert stuff back, might start with the muffler and rear springs tomorrow.

ive been playing with wheels today, fun fun in the sun!!

spent saturday arvo/night with ari and hozy painting my wheels and hozys front lip. was a late as hell night, sanding, painting, beers, pizza and chips!! we got done around 4am, as ari had to bail to go pick up his missus from the airport a bit later.

unfortunately the wheels and lip were still fresh, and copped a couple scuffs and scrapes putting them in the car in the pouring rain

lip, centers and barrels are cosmos schwarz, with a blue flake on the barrels(ari and hozy decided the lips needed something "extra" while i was having a nap
