Hey guys
This is my car, yes its a Ford I know what your all thinking, but although im a Ford man I also have a real soft spot for Holdens, and am considering upgrading to a manual VY SS or something similar early next year. Hence me introducing my self now.
Anyway about the car, its a 2002 AUIII XR6 5 speed with factory optioned rebel kit.
When i got it about 4 months ago it was completely stock apart from ugly chromies, since then ive done the following:
exhaust - custom 2.5" catback consisting of some sort of high flow muffler, rear resonator, twin stainless tips, and a high flow cat. (very deep gurgly sound, esspecially with the slightly lumpy cam of the ticky motor, i often get asked if its a V8, oh and plenty of backfire on deceleration)
staggered 19" silver speedy cheetahs - 245/35/19 khumo KU19s on front and 265/30/19 cheap shitty 'hero' things on the back
JVC bluetooth and ipod head unit with some factory looking radio pocket, alpine amp, eclipse sub
smoothed out & painted air box lid, XR6T snorkle, dodge home made lower snorkle, K&N high flow panel filter
and then just some small things like:
EL fan belt cover
tinted tail lights
de-badged
fairmont carpet boot lid liner
white LED interior light
Next on the list is super lows, 3" intake pipe, extractors
picsss (sorry i tend to go a bit mental with pics)
When i first got it:

Well it looks good and tough, but its still a dirty au![]()
oi. i was in crankahhs car today lol. love your au its probably the best one ive seen.
Nice one mate, nothin wrong with the old blue oval. Although yes the AU was the ugliest motherf'kin Falcon ever produced! Ah well.
thanks guys, was kinda hoping there would be a little more un-biased positive feed back, but yeah you get that.
Anyway got my tax back so bought superlows yesterday and put them in today, and also bought some extractors which im hoping to get installed soon.
appologies for it being filthy, ive kinda given up on washing it for now cos everytime it rains the next day haha.
wish it came down a little more in the front though![]()
Good looking AU mate but christ they have an ugly/plain dash haha. And the front should settle a little more? Springs take up to a month of driving to settle i say, so try take some bumpy roads to haha.
Cheers!

Whats the clutch pedal like,is it heavy?Very common for the firewall to crack around where the clutch cable goes through.
Are we there yet?
Clean ride man, The AU body has realy grown on me the last couple of years its just that dash!!! they are SO f---KING horrendous.
Either way respect on the 5 speed.
keep up the good work.
[QUOTE=-wish it came down a little more in the front though[/QUOTE]
It still might mate .. i have a NF fairlane and it took around 10 - 12 weeks to fully settle 100%, But looking really nice bud, Good Work!!

Woah haven't been on here for a while haha, but thanks for the comments guys. The clutch feels alright, yes it is factory manual, don't think the fire walls cracked.
Not a lot has happened since the last update, lost my license for 8 months, decided im keeping it and hopefully will do something special with it while i have no license. But anyway i installed a billet short shifter, and i think that's about it, other then cleaning it up a #### load for All Ford Day tomorrow.
Some more pics, including some with my mates drifteks on (off a skyline, offset WIN!! looking at getting a set for a second set of rims. These are 17x9.5, with 255 tyres, im looking at the same but stretching 235s)
