    Default TrikkBen's 1990 R32 GTR. :D

    G'day guys,
Well the time came for me to step out of the Holdens and buy something with a little more of a competitive edge.
I have always loved the R32's and always said I would love to own one. Now I do.

    The Rundown:

    Motor

    Port/Polish Headwork
    New RB26 crankshaft
    N1 24U block
    CP Pistons
    Eagle con rods
    Brand spankin GT2560-5's

    Twin turbo pipe mod.
    Braided oil/water lines to turbos.
    Tomei Poncams 9.15 lift
    Denso 720 injectors
    HKS cam gears
    ARP head studs
    OEM gasket kit
    Cometic head gasket
    ACL bearings
    Splitfire coil packs
    Custom oil catch can
    Factory FMIC
    Nisan oil cooler
    Nissan oil filter
    N1 water pump
    A/M oil pump.
    Coated pistons
    Denso injectors
    All new hoses
    All new seals
    All new belts
    New crank bush
    Reco steering system
    New turbo drain back hoses
Fabricated catch can system. (not up to my standards of Fabrication, will redo or buy a Jap equivalent.)
Gearbox has the usual syncro crunch and clutch fries in second so first on my list is a clutch.

    Intake/Exhaust

    K & N pod filters
    HKS Suction kit
    HKS Hard pipe kit
    Ported stock exhaust manifolds
    GReddy Dump/Front pipe extension kit.

Short 3rd gear pull with slippy clutch.

There's a lot on the table for this thing, Will pull the whole car down, replace all bits that are replaceable e.g bushes etc. I want to know the car inside and out, that way I will be able to understand the way the car drives around the track and how different thing affect the overall outcome. I have a lot to learn about track setup and can't wait to fill my brain

    Thanks,
    Ben

Nice one Benny boy, tough car these things. It would probably be a bit of a handful for a daily though wouldn't it? Is it comfy and well insulated?

Thanks mate, Not a daily though, I have my Mazda Bravo. It is comfy enough with the buckets but it has huge spring pressures so its very solid. Insulated, well doesn't really matter, when it comes on boost you can't hear the radio anyways so road noise etc. doesn't phase me lol

Nice pick up mate, looks immaculate. HammaTime: Not a bad daily at all, very well put together car, plenty of sound deadening from factory, my house mate daily's his GT-R32 happily, but has the dampers set to soft.

Looks good you got receipts for engine build? The only things i ever worry is if it actually has what they say. Hards to push a tune if you dont really know how ell its been built.
Are you going to change ecus?

Yet to find out what the turbos are, They are aftermarket. Also unsure of cc of the injectors. Will find out when I upgrade the whole fuel system and go to a bosch 044.

Have every receipt for every service its ever had, has had 20k+ put into the engine... Even have a receipt showing terminals etc for the battery move.. lol

ECU will stay as PFC, they can cope with this power easily. Might cough occasionally though I read.

Get a couple GT-RS if it doesn't have them already. Throw stock air box back in if you can find one. Have been proven the pods are just wank factor.

GT-RS are a good turbo, they will happily see you past 300kw (wheels) but may start to run out of puff around the 330 mark. My house mate runs these.

300kw at the wheels should be more then enough for a daily. Besides the torque would be awesome. A mate of mine had a R32 GT-R and even 2nd gear launches would scare the pants off you.

For sure, 300kw is insane/stupid/ridiculous power.

Unsure yet which route I will go in regards to turbs, by the time I'm ready new stuff may have been developed.
Wraith, It's not a daily. and I did a launch blazed through first and slipped second had to back off. Once the new clutch is in I will have a ball.

You can hear the clutch go in the vid yeh?

Err just noticed is that rocker cover gold? If it is a legit gold rocker cover then that is an R34 GT-R nur motor which is a very good thing.

Could be painted, but it's not chipped or scratched or tatty like a home job soo maybe, I'll have to check it out...
