Before i start YES i know this is a commodore forum but i hope most of yous can see past the Blue oval badge as we are all CAR enthusiats here
Over the past year or so i decided to rip my car off the road and give her a cosmetic, audio and mechanical overhaul, which includes a somewhat custom bodykit, respray, new wheels, drivetrain upgrade, new stereo install, a few new engine mods, "prettying" up the engine bay and a few other bits and peices. The car is still far from finished tho as i've had a fair few things keeping me back from making any decent progress, namely a second job which i've just quite and has given me a heap more time to get stuck into it.
The car is currently in primer and the body kit and stereo are half finished, so i'll post up more pics of those areas when it is closer to completion. For now, here are some pics of the engine bay (alot of the gear has just been dummied in place so i could see what the finished product will look like). Anyways, enough rambling, here's a few pics. Let us know what you all think

Hey fella...nice work.
PERSONALLY it's too much polished metal but I'm sure it works well and I love the pllates. Nice thinking.
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
Very sterile looking enginebay... :P... but I'm curious what inspired you to post your Ford on a Commodore forum ?
I reckon you should get a fully sick flame job on it...you know like the XY Ford had on Running On Empty....I'll supply the petrol !!! ahahahahaha !!!! Agh I feel much better now !!! :P

Is that what a ford engine looks like?
Looks like you've done well, whether or not it be a ford there has been some serious hours spent on it.
Keep up the good work.
Hmmm, i thought the user name sounded familiar, you use, mind my language here people, fordforums dont you, and you met up with the e series boys for the geelong mini meet over easter, one of which happened to be, mightyefghia, whom now is known as mightyxr6turbo. Here's some pics of her, as i said before, not much to see ATM. The body kit is still being made up so i got no recent pics of it. I threw in an older photo of the front bar so you've got an idea of what's coming.Originally Posted by GLD-086
This is pretty much how she looks ATM.
Test fitting the new rims
Here's the older pic of the car with the new front bar being dummied in place. Not hard to tell what car it came off
As said before, i will post up pics once the bodykit is closer to completion![]()

nice, looks like it will be nice when finished, I have an XD 351 but thats another project for later here r some pics![]()
No it's just you, lol j/k. Yeah the front bars a little controversial and not everyones cup of tea, and to be honest i was never really planning on doing anything of the sought. About a year ago we went rumaging through a pile of old bumpers looking for a particular bar for my friend when we found this. For a laugh we dummied it up against my friends EA and thought it didn't look half bad. Took it back home, did a test fit and decided that one day i will have a go at fitting it upOriginally Posted by Doctor Sodways

What you have in mind for her? Some major lowering first up no doubtOriginally Posted by CHANDLC

nah can't lower it any more it's already sitting on its arse, I just want to do more work on the engine at the moment it is just stock but will at a later date rebuild with works and jerks with super charger want about 400-500rw/hp also got to replace front gaurds doors and boot lid (bit of rust) and a set 19inch wheels.
I seen a red EA at Broady Carpark with the wrx front bar, was hiding a front mount intercoller behind it aswell, though it was turboed. Those engines need a turbo or supercharger to get em going, otherwise they not that quick, or maybe thats just me parents eb thats shit
