lol never ending dramas huh gordon hope you get it sorted soon . Welding a little ridge on the outside of the pipe where you hose goes then putting a clamp over it will help stop blowing off. Thats if you havent got ends with swaged edges

I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
It was the first time i popped a cooler pipe on this carwelding some bits for the clamps to catch on so it doesn't happen again.
My piping was an abortion anyway, it was a good excuse to redo the piping. (not like i had a choice)
I'll get some pics when its all done
Big thanks to Luke for welding my new hot side cooler pipes up! Just need some silicon sealers and the cars back on the road (until something else breaks or decides it wants to enter orbit)
Cars back on the road, boost is coming on earlier and all it seems to want to do it loose traction :P

Still got to replace the cold side intercooler pipes.
Awesome i love the sound of a boosted i6. I need to boost up my xr6t
Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise
Yeah its great fun but no good as a daily, in the wet or as a comfortable car at all...So pretty much a typical sports car.
Its back in the shed till it can get to the tuners, i suspect its leaning out under high boost low rpm conditions. I'd rather get it to the tuners to confirm its %100 before driving it again which wont be for a few months.
you say you normally run it on 20psi?
is that safe for the motor for daily runs?
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
sure, if the tune is right then there is no risk of engine damage. the bottom ends of most inline 6's are well designed. I havn't really looked at my car in the last few months other than start it up every few weeks and let it warm up. started a new job and havn't had the time or money just yet to fix it up. should happen after new years some time.
well i've started work again on the car after a much needed 2 month break! in the meantime i bought my self a MY06 STI liberty gt as a daily driver and i'm selling the verada
Replacing the engine mounts currently with the proper ones and cutting up piping to finish my intercooler piping! as soon as its all done i'll book it back into be tuned properly. Currently cold start is painful, its over fueling and i cant run it any leaner because the the car wants to stall. It could be a result of the small gapping i run to avoid spark blowout or a combination of things such as my idle valve isnt set up correctly and fuel adjustment needs to be zero'd in. either way ill get my tuner to fix up these itemsonce its warm the car drives like factory (except ALOT faster)
Another thing that has been on my mind is suspension. I've been thinking this for a while but only decided recently. I'll be ditching the TEMS system and installing Adjustable height/dampening rate coil overs (probably TIEN or something) additionally i'll be fitting wider rubber to the car as the car doesn't quiet go round corners like it should compared to other supra's ive been in. Stay posted. I think I'm nearly done building this car. Just aswell i guess. after that time to buy a house :P
Replaced upper intercooler piping
Big thanks to luke for welding my pipes together for me!

awesome, now all it needs is lobster welded intake pipe![]()
yeah one daygoes stupidly fast now. will hit up the 1/4 soon
does this have w58 box? how do they handle power?
Pretty sure he has an r154, stronger and more awesome :P except for the thrust washer but thats easily upgraded![]()
I had a w58 but i swapped it out to a R154 so i could fit a better clutch.
out of the box i ran 300rwkw through my W58 for a while and it showed no signs of failure or that it was having a hard time.
The thrust washer upgrade is only needed if you're planning on dropping the clutch at redline often.
They're pretty bullet proof all in all. ive been told 450rwhp-500rwhp is what the W58's start failing at and 800rwhp for the R154, Either way tough as hell.
This cars for sale now aswell guys, It's gotta go because i need a house!
Made 300rwkw on a roller dyno recently.

Awesomeeeeeeeee, shitty news that your selling it dude, especially after all the work that you've put into it to get it running properly![]()
Ok, so havn't sold it. Put a new cam sensor in the car and its running properly again![]()
