    im not sure to be honost, i doubt u'd need to reflat it, it'd do that when u bolted it back on as they can bent a little, the other 2 sheets are just like gaskets, remind me of the turbo gaskets on my ol v6, sealed good....

    all i can say is it looks mint! i doubt it'd ever blow

    heads back on now, bolts in but not torqued. ill do that when i can be bothered..

    hooked up alot of wiring and random lines, bloody jap cars and too many looms

    i also covered my cam lobes in engine assembly lube so that i dont do damage on first start and the bolt thread on the arp bolts....

    ill get stuck into it tommorrow night and probbly finish up on the weekend got offered a LS1 VX wagon as a company car (full kit hsv rims etc) but companys insurance wont cover me on it holding out for a subaru liberty turbo that might be up for grabs soon :P

    thats a 1G-GTE

    twin C12A on a 2L i6, good for top end power and nothing else :P

    plus, they usually go for lots cheaper, 7M-gte's are more pricey and 1jz are expensive

    problem i think was old fuel in the lines, remember it hadn't been started in a year...

    and it wont start anymore but i suspect its out of petrol... as it was VERY low

    it might not have been old fuel as my mates probe was sitting in his backyard for nearly 2 years and we hooked up a battery and 2 litres of new fuel (was 1/4 of a tank still in there) and it started pretty much 1st go, altho we had to connect a the vac lines and put the leads in the right order as his mechanic didnt want him to start it

    yeah i dunno, brand spanker battery i need to get some more fuel for it today, i dont think the clutch pedal has much more adjustment in it ill have to pull the pedal out and fiddle i reckon...

    also the o-ring on the Crank angle sensor drive gear went, (2c O-ring)

    so it is leaking oil from the head once it starts circulating, im loving the oil pressure gauge in the dash, its measured in kg/cc^2 but i converted it, its for 0-2-4-8 as the measurements, 2= 28psi and 4= 56psi and 8 = 112psi... oil pressure sits round about 3 so im happy

    also indicators dont work via the stalk, but hazards work... i should have the oil leak fixed, and ill set timing to 12deg static (as per toyota manual) and then ill be laughing, id probbly have it registered soon if i didn't have other things on. i could def afford to get the rwc but not pay reg atm.

    anywho.. should have it running again today with no leaks.. once i get a permit ill go fill it up with petty and take it to the car wash

    ok i've been busy so far

    * replaced o ring
    * reinstalled CAS
    * set static timing
    * fixed belt squeak
    * fixed vac leaks

    starts easy now but i think its down a banger, could just be plugs

    we'll see what happens, worst comes to worst, i rebuild the motor with forged everything...after all... its a project car

    Compression fuel and spark is all you need you seem to have good comp so its either fuel or spark. When i did my timing belt on the 929 it sat around for 4 months before it did it. Comp and spark were fine turned out the be a blocked injector from sitting around so long chucked some cleaner in and took it for a spin and it cleared up fine.

    hehe, i retested cyc 6, its holding comp, it idles really rough, i cant figure out why it was fine yesterday, maybe the fuel filters blocked?, i reckon i might pull the plugs and inspect them + new spark leads

    oh well im also going to replace the ground to the coil packs, and recheck firing order..

    i don't like how the ground for the coils goes to the head im going to rerun a thick ground to the chassis.

    id rather not clog up the neg bat terminal, i found a empty bolt hole on the chassis and grounded it to there, seems to run better,

    i went for a spool up the street last night... missed heavily under load (like when i had a loose ground strap on my v6)

    i was lucky to get back the 50m i travelled, didnt stall but any other gear but 1st and it had no power.... and on these box's first is damn short

    ill take it for another quick spool 2nite

    found a side indicator too!!!! got a pair for $20 insted of $75 for 1 lol
