She went in for RWC check today....
Theres a decent list of things i gotta do, but getting some things "overlooked" so theres not really heaps ive gotta do, nothing REALLY expensive anyway, no time limit i have to do them either, so thats good.
Battery also crapped itself today so thats gay, gotta fork out for a newy
think u need a new bigger turbo with a external wastegate, and make the motherfu(ker dose!!!!
and then wack a intercooler on it lol
Vortech V1 supercharger : 10psi : Intercooled : 3.89 Mini-spool : VT Big Brake conversion : Shift kitted auto : B&M Shifter
My VS CLUBBY!
237.2RWKW - 318.1HP - 926.4 NM
Lol your a downy troy.... but there is a chance i may convert to EFI with the magna setup and run a front mount, but thats all way down the track, i wanna keep focused on the clubby, have to get that boosting first
Heres the list:
*Reverse lights not working
*Washer jets not working
*Battery not secure
*Condensation in LH headlight and parker
*Breather pipe to rocker cover to be connected
*Adjust handbrake
*Distributer seal leaking
*Wash motor
*Secure spare wheel
*Adjust LHF wheel bearing
*RHR axle seal leaking
*Rear uni has play
*All 4 tyres low
*Padding required in steering wheel
Lol, nice list ey
But im getting away with half of it, just to get it transfered into my name, but ill get it all fixed up over time.
Oh and also found some gay rust in it today, in the inside of passenger door, and inside of rear drivers side door. GAY
hmm least its nothing too bad on that list considering what you paid for it.
its better than having a vk 202 on gas some might say lol, geoff you have to haqve this up and runing next time i come down i wanna go for a spinbald tyres are nothing just means more drifting uleh
DVLHSV Stage 2 is Now in Operation
My VYII Clubsport http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...clubsport.html
Its going now.... got a new battery in it this arvo, fixing a few things on it on my day off tmoz, and will also change the oil/oil filter and fuel filter.
Will do plugs and leads in a couple weeks.
Im so keen to get this thing spooled, but it looks to be its not all that possible unless i change the diff, which i cbf doing. Gotta look further into it though
I thought u said you sold the VK marcus? To some chick?
arc welders are good for locking the diff
sigma diffs are strong and i didnt ahve any problems with the wedled one i used to ahve in the thrasher![]()
weld it geoff you know you want too.. remember if it breaks you can just weld it again. I recommend some low hydrogen electrodes about as high strentgh rating as you can get good for all positions
Hmmm.... possibly have to think about it.
I wouldnt know how to do it though, wouldnt know what to weld to what lol, my dad is a pro welder though, he was actually a welding teacher for over 20 years or something lol, but i doubt he would do it, prob just crack the ****s at me for thinking about doing it lol
Need to take the diff out to do it, or can you just take the plate off?
can take the back plate off just gotta clean up a bit in there. Last time i seen some pics the guy had a bit of steel plateto weld in there
Cheers dude. Just got some bits and pieces from repco, changing oil and filter and fuel filter today.
And fix a few things off the list for RWC.
Also went down to the wreckers and inquired about an EFI setup from a magna.
They want $55 for inlet manifold, injectors, wiring loom, computer and everything else i need, which i thought was quite cheap.
I will do some more looking into it, and possibly down the track a bit go in that direction with a front mount cooler on it
Look forward to seeing pics of the V6 Sigma project...
Ecotec 3.8 V6 yeah?
Cheers,
VT97Calais
Its a buick v6 out of a VN, there is plenty of pics on this site, take a look:
Geoff (and mates), SIGMA!
Finished working on it today, did the fuel filter, oil and oil filter.
Fixed the washer jets, got a bolt to secure the spare wheel, but need to cut it down a bit shorter, adjusted the handbrake (it works good now), and took a real good gander under neath.
The rear springs and shocks look brand new ill get a pic up asap.
But i cannot work out the damn reverse lights.... i suspect the reverse light switch on the gearbox but im not 100% sure, i dont think thats getting power to it either.... will have another good look next weekend.
Did a few other things but cant remember.
lol, good geoff.
Was guna come round, but was too wet. so CBF. lol.
Look forward to seeing and going in it after. pick me up 6pm.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
haha love the new toy mate. Iv got a 2.6 magna sitting here, dam fun to throw around.
When you say it needs a tune, what do you mean? The carbie on its a SU so if its not idling then the piston hight adjusts the fuel mixture. If its running rough at idle i can show you how to adjust it if you like. The points may just be stuffed if its running **** through the band.
Yeah thats cool man i was busy today anyway, ill swing by around 6.
Cheers man.
Well the bloke i bought it off just said the carby needs a slight tune, im not too sure what exactly needs doing.
It just got this one spot thats a bit rough, and its a bit of a pig until its all warmed up properly.
Ill do plugs and leads maybe next week, and then maybe look at the points and dissy related things.
Not much more to do for RWC apart from the gay reverse lights, and clean up the oil leak.
Heres a pic of the springs/shocks, they seriously loook brand new
And what you think about this ride height? Looks a lot nicer, this was just when i jacked the front up LOL

hahaha tucking tyre.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
