Lol, can't do much about the location, but the panels aren't bad though.

Except for the ding in the drivers side guard. And the spot of rust in the bonnet. And the rust on the inside of the pass. side door. And also the little bit of rust on the pass. guard. And the dent in the drivers door.

But yeh, apart from that, schmicko.

How's my sales pitch?

Nah in all seriousness though, it probs looks worse in the pics than it really is, cos I've taken pics of the bad things, and you don't see the rest of the vehicle, but the vehicle as a whole looks good I reckon. Well at least I always thought it looked neat.

Chance I'd get 1500 for it?

Yeh, well I don't really wanna sell it, plus, I can't find another one that fits my criteria, IE - 202 + 4speed, 1984 model (preferable), nice colour, no (or hardly any) rust, reasonable kms, reasonable price. etc.

And theres always the V8s, which I'm considering, but I'd be chancing it wether or not I'd get an exemption.

I'm pressing to get a decent carport (maybe even a sorta garage) put up at my place real soon so I can get stuck into it.

We've got an old tandem trailer (checkerplate) which has a rusted out floor, so I'm thinking seeing as that would be a real easy project it might be a good place to start. I'd be able to get practice with using the grinder, welding, and even spraypainting.

Alrite, so a bits been happening recently.

Given the pass side floor a light coat of rustkill primer, just to stop it rusting for a while.
Flushed the radiator and heater system out a coupla times, refilled with coolant.
Secured the carbon canister and temporary over flow bottle (cottees) to the rad support with wire. (as I have removed the inner guard so that dint can be repaired)
Installed a set of stato bucket seats (very comfy).
Fixed the fuel leak at the carby.

Now all I really need to do is pump up the tyres a bit, and bleed the brakes and top up the fluid. And then I can start learning the manual (on my property at least). But should be good, as I have an unusually long driveway. Gotta do the best I can with what I got. Probs still gonna be a little while before I get the rust fixed so yeh. Might as well make some use of the vehicle.

Nah mate, no updates yet. I was gonna bleed my brakes, but for some reason I didn't have the right size ring spanner. Even though I was using (i think it was) 3/8 and thats what the manuals and mechanics said to use. Lol. So yeh, probs go to repco or something and pick up another one or something. Until I do that, not gonna be any more progress. And besides, its been to hot anyway cos my ute is in the sun during the day.

I know what you mean about the heat, Last couple of weeks over here have been stinking hot in the shed so i don't even want to step into it. Today was cool for a change ! lol

Yeah tell me about it, getting a bit of nice weather this last week or so. Unfortunatly I still can't do anything because I need that new ring spanner, and holidays are nearly over and I'm busy as hell.

nar mate south east uh keysbourrah?

its at a joint in dandenong (how ever its spelt)
and the chassis has no rust at all (litterally..none)
and dad and his mate are doing rust repais
and were getting a auto elec to do the wiring
i wish i could do the rust repairs and the wiring myself
but trust me i cant even handle wiring a sterio
they piss me off so much i start punching holes in my door haha
and my weling sucks so bad

Just a couple of pics from the day after the big storm we had in melbourne a coupla weeks ago. Think i got a away with only 2 or 3 dints in the roof, and maybe 2 or so on the bonnet. all pretty small ones too. Not too fussed tbh. Pretty much given up on this thing, havn't really touched it in months. However I'm searching real hard for another one or something very similar.

If I do find another one, I'll probably just keep this one for spares or something.
