    Model: Telcoline
    Year: 1998
    Colour: White
    Engine Type: 2L turbo diesil, intercooled
    Trans: 5 speed manual with syncros on all gears
    Diff: 4:55.1 LSD


    well this is the Tata
    not the most common thing around but its around,
    this ute is shared between my old man and i as a daily to get to work,
    its either the vs or the tata depending on the day

    the ute is of Indian origens and has a merc drivetrain,
    from my boredem and the avaliblity of a boost gauge, i can confirm the tata runs 15psi boost standerd

    we have made a custom shifter in a 'Z' shape as the factory post was poorly design and resuited in leaning forwards and punching the dash


    plans for the ute, set it up for camping/bike riding
    -fitting 4 spotties across the roll bar
    -fitting 2 small flood lights under the roll bar to light the tray at night for camping
    -some form of steel rims, like on older hiluxs or the 4wd veriant of the tata if i can find them
    -alloy nudge bar if i can make one fit
    -4wd tata front springs to raise it

    How'd it go with the load of sand? Bet it was sluggish as hell lol.

    Sorry but i have to say that TATA is prob the worst car manufacturer of all time.
    I HATE THEM! GO BACK TO INDIA.
    Worst build quality ever.... lol

    But as a heap of a work ute, it would do the job lol

    yer it was alright, ended up moving about 8 tonnes of the fill in a hour and half yesterday
    each load was over the 1.2 ton mark going by what the lanscape place said

    only reason we have it was because we were offered it off my dads mate for $2800
    only has 90,000km on the clock, never pulled much or done hard work just small crap before

    funny thing about this is is that it looks like a really mint condition 80's ute.

    but its 98. its the same year as my bloody vt. im having a really hard time believing they came out of the same decade let alone year.

    haha its such a 80s styled car,

    Well the Tata is gone, traded it in for a new ute
    the head was gone and the turbo was starting to die so it had to go

    the new ute
    VY dumped on 18s
    The New daily ute....... dumped on rims
