really need to get the front painted sometime.
shouldnt be long and ill have quickrack in. started pulling the rack apart on the weekend, dodgied up a tool while i wait for the proper one to get here, to take pinion out.
gotta order new tie rod and rack ends this week, might have it back together on the weekend, possibly ready to drop in.
well, steering racks in. went for a quick test drive. PURE AWESOME!!
but ive gotta take it out tomorrow to tighten a nut, coz the pinions moving up when i dry steer left. the joys of using dodgy home made adjuster tools and never having built a steering rack before![]()
shimmed the pinion in the rack a bit today, still has a slight knock on dry steering, but will see how it goes. doesnt do it on the road though.
dropped the front 1cm more while it was in the air, gotta love coilovers.

look'n good. did it used to be blue? or am i thinkin of some one else
this ones always been blue. used to be all blue, i added the lower 2 tone. original colour when i got it is the front, original colour as i mixed at work is the back.
i did have a red one, but thats been sent to the car gods a couple weeks back.
Cool ride man.... I was thinking of doing exactly that.
Reaper
damn this car is growing on me looks so tuff now for a small car. you should sell it to me hak
Paint the front end already!!!!

11.75" x .81" scalloped rotors. still need to get center hats and calipers, but the combination will save me around 4-5kg per corner on the front, and doing same with smaller rotors on rear for less saving, but probably still a couple kg per side.

I have to be completely honest, it looks PERFECT as it is now. Don't do any more painting - it looks like a tough old beast of a thing, and will go like nobody expects
There's nothing worse than a MINT car - it gets everyone's hopes up.

i'll finish the paint, but there WONT be any clearcoat on it, matte finish ftw!!
and i have plans for the spare bonnet(read: weight loss + matt black paint)
ooooo sweet rotors!! all you need now is the rest of it
nice stance too, just that 1cm has made all the difference.
LOVING! The rotors!
Should see you on the cruise hopefully!
Cheers

Nice man, but I reckon the wheels would look better with wider tyres.
SO how many sets of wheels do you have for this now?

any wider probably wont fit with these wheels
at the moment i have 3 sets of wheels, all with tyres.
grey 15x7 with falken tyres
black 15x8 with bobjane cheapos
MiM 15x7 with falken RT615 semi slicks
almost had another set of wheels to buy, but they dont have the standards markings to be legal on teh road.
gonna be getting some 15x8s in the grey ones eventually.
Heh, nice.
Either way, its one tough little beast.![]()
