I liked the red one more, looked tougher.... but its easier for you if the car isn't rust riddled, the red one was a little bit too much work me thinks.

yeh, the red one was mad as bar the rust. the blue one is much more sedate looking though, so should give people more of a scare!!

i dont think you could've gotten a better fit if you tried, everything has just been falling into place with this thing.. looks like u only have a few mm to grind off to get her sitting straight

got a few bits done over the weekend(dad and i both had an RDO today, so was able to get some more stuff done)

dad welded up a heap of holes in the boot area, and the antenna hole.




i vinyl dyed a few interior bits to match everything up. still needs more on the back seat.




cracks in seat brackets on car welded up and seats completely bolted in now



i sanded down the few bits on the lhs rear window frame after the rust repair, and chucked a bit pf paint on, along with a quick sand and paint over the dent on the wheel arch.




and i pulled the valance and grilles off the red car and bolted the valance to the blue one. mainly bolted it on to check itd fit.

whats the diff between the blue bumper and the red bumper? or is it just the metal/chrome bar on the blue one is to heavy for u?

the black lower lip section comes down further on the red one, and the openings are different. chrome bumper will be going back on.

mixed up a litre of shadow grey for the lower half today, got a new washer bottle, and ordered 2 sets of clear front indicator lenses. been chasing these for a while, and now i'll have 2 sets, one for spares.

got the valance painted today, and did some more work on cleaning up the back end. might keep doing brakes tomorrow.

got my lenses today. they look the goods, but i had to do some trimming around the edges and redrill and dremel out the screw holes. looks like my 2 sets, the mould has shifted downwards on the outer half, so the top edge is thin and the bottom edge is thick.

just gotta get some silver globes for them now.




also got a new front windscreen seal, so we ripped the front windscreen out tonight. gotta clean up some surface rust along the bottom then put it back in.

working full time gives me only nights and weekends now, but ive got the money to play with. 12 months ago, working casual i had heaps more time, but no cash. wish i had more spare time and the cash now.

i cant wait to get it on the road!!

loving the clears mate, just comparing ur sig pic to the above, looks heaps cleaner. its starting to look like a classy ride

ok, got front struts swapped over to the original bilsteins today, had to swap strut tops aswell though, which made things take longer. also took the coilovers out of the front of the red one, so theyre ready to drop in after rego.

brake lines are all in, started clearancing wheel arch and drilling holes for booster system.

i also swapped the bonnet catches over, since these were less rusty and worn. i slapped a bit of paint on them to spruce it up a bit aswell



shot of some surface rust under a plastic trim on the door sill, got some sand today, but had to let it dry, so sandblasting day is tomorrow.



and red's looking sad, im keeping the guards as spares and will later on steal and respray the bonnet. still gotta rip the coilovers out of the rear yet.
