I saw this car a few weeks back. Very nice package indeed - right down to the gli hubcaps
Lots of great down to earth "just make it work" engineering on that car - I likee a lot.
Reaper
i've seen a sleeper just like this in a 1/2 mile it failed epic
Vp wagon Ex chaser, Vn wagon project 1
I'm going to leave this here... Will be going to heathcote on the 4th of december and try n get that 10 before moving on the the next evolution

Motor is pretty much finished picking up ths friday i beleive money is holding us all back. Anywya specs of motor are relatively hush hush but it runs scat rods, cp pistons (i think thats what settled on) a set of kelford billet cams (yes kelford in NZ supposably they make real good DOHC's) crank pretty much stock nothing major besides a good balance. Got billet flexplate full metal jacket balancer. Block going to be grout filled 2/3 or so. Heads been ported and has 1 peice stainless valves.
The plan is by AFF Drag nats to have new motor in running original turbo n mainfold off old motor haltech 2000 platnium ecu and the C4 gearbox which had a freashen up recently because the guy he bought it off was full of shit and it was ####ed pump let go and the was no 1st band left. Basically use as much stuff from old setup as possible to keep money down and be ready by drag nats. It'll give him the chance to run motor in for a while with say 350rwkw (about what we'd be aiming for) before upgrading and stepping up to 700+rwkw the goal is 1000rwhp.
One thing we'll be doing soon is the engine conversion and a new fuel system i'll put up the pictures to show how simple it is really to put a new motor in these old cars minmal mods required. The fuel system i'll be building soon when his parts are sourced. WWill consist of 3x044 fuel pumps custom surge tank 10lt probably and a turbosmart fpr2000 reg, ID2000 injectors and new lines up the car. Will be running E85 and will support the 1000hp goal on that.
Anyway a Few pictures
Pics of head porting being done
Here's a couple of the Dash 12 fittings i welded onto rocker cover and it painted to match car colour
Picture of dummy assembly of bottom end
This is the Dash12 oil drain i welded onto sump
This is the trans plate cover i made for the huge hole in floor where the old shifter use to be. Finally convinced him to let me block it off and mount the rachet shifter properly. It was bent to match profile of tunnel then i welded on the the extra bit so the sifter had somewhere flat and solid to bolt too.
Couple pics from All Ford Day in geelong with the other 2 southern performance cars in last pic. I didnt take my car as i dont think its anything special and shouldnt be in a car show judging by some of the shitters there seems like i should have... Seriously who goes to a car show to look at shitboxes you see on the road everyday??

Kris has helped us out a lot with our cars suppling us with cheap parts in return for working on his amount of time especially Don has put in would be more than than worth it but you gotta help your mates out.
The whole dash has been stripped out and all useless stuff been removed haltech been wired into main loom.
So i'll let pictures do most of the talking
Fuel System finished
K-frame front bar moved forward 25mm to accomodate b-series motor
EMS CDI Module to go with the Motec mercury marine coils
Tailshaft loop installed prick of a job kris said glad i didnt have to do it
Eboost installed along with dual stage shift light and switches for fuel, CDI high/low and thermos
The Piece de resistance the engine finally turned up. Locked cams all the good fruit
With most things fitted
Coils mounted donnie and kris did a good job on them
Had a few issues with manifolds not fitting required some grindering/ cutting and enlarging off holes to fit. Personally im disappointed considering snort are a business that seels these for decent money and they should fit without having to mod them everytime.
Fuel rail is an issue getting a good setup out of it is impossible with this manifold the center return you cant have pointing down as it hits on inlet manifold its also a retarded thread size (demon carby) so getting a fitting for it that works well was hard. Feeding from both ends thus became difficult as thermostat housing is almost against end of rail. no-one wants to drill n tap new threads in it so im going to have to weld fittings onto it
Had a visit from kris this morning bit of urgent welding job . Welded another -6 fitting on back of water pump (where heater pipe goes) for turbo return/feed also done the thermostat housing one last week. Now hes gotta work out a mounting for his water temp sender.
Also made his catch can yesterday just waiting on him to buy a breather filter so i can weld a neck on then some mounting tabs then a a polish and it should be done. Also got - 12 fittings (#### they're huge!!!)
Catch can measures 150x125x100 so approx a litre capacity and is internally baffled and packed with steel wool also has a drain bung on the bottom. It's made to go where the washer bottle would go on an E-series

Well we put in a 13 hour day yesterday and got a lot done, I have to give credit to Donnie, he has done a amazing job with the loom for this car. Everything's neatly packaged and connects in OEM clips so removing the engine requires two plug to be disconnected and out she can come.
So after I got Pub247 to weld in a -6 fitting into the water pump I could run the lines for turbo water lines, covered them up with heat shield which is magical stuff. Last engine I had rubber line in this touching the manifold itself and it never melted. That's magic.
We took it off the stand and fitting up the flex plate and swung her around and dropped it in, went in a lot easier than i had thought, even with modified mounts. Clearance is nice to the front K frame support after moving it back to clear oil pump on sump.
I'm mega happy with how she looks in there, it actually looks like there is more room around the back of the engine, enough to be able to get trans bolts done up from engine bay. Ill throw it on hoist today and introduce old tech to new tech.
So today I'm off to fit up the rest of the stuff, manifold can go on now, fuel rail needs to have a dash -8 welded in. I also need to get some leads made up, Ill probably go down to ICE for those.

He has invested a lot in this car to get it done and has helped me out a lot with mine with parts i trade trade for labour instead of coin. I dont have lots of money to finish mine quickly but i got a few bits coming soon just tossing up what i should get first
Anyway finished this tonight bit of dirty polishing later it came up good pity picture didn't

Killer job from Pub again, we just feed him beers and he welds away.
We had a few issue with the haltech showing bizzare TPS readings until we found it was a dodgy plug on on the factory tps. Fixed that and now she almost starts, Coils are firing and its getting bucket loads of fuel. The base map is for 220cc injector and we have 2000cc in there so fuel trims are being messed around with. This PS2000 ha soo many functions we arent using right now but it could pretty much send up a rocket while making dinner and seducing your girlfriend.
We had a smartlock issue where everytime we put key in it needed 30 mins to sync before starter relay would work. So we just bypassed the key and put in a button start. Works well and sort of fits a racey theme lol.
So the plug leads ended up being a bit long but ill get them shortened soon, they work for now. The CDI seems to be getting a nice spark, interesting on how they fire with it cranking over though, it takes a few turns to really get them up and cracking.
Did the hose for the catchcan and mounted it where the wiper fluid resi used to live as there is a nice pace there now, and I dont go out in the rain for fear of going backwards upside down sceaming off a cliff.
