hey..
so who is going to Nats at EPIC 2010.. i am and i just got confirmation that two of my friends are. next step. accomodation.
cheers
im there. its a 4000km round trip on a plane but it will be worth it.
last year was my first nats and i loved it
motels like tripple their prices.. i know someone that works in a motel near EPIC and she gets double pay cause of all the sh!t she has to deal with. i was thinking of camping but thats just stupid. torrie isnt ready yet so maybe 2011
check out the rydges motel just north of EPIC. my rooms costing $120-140 a night plus its within drunken stumble distance from the nats![]()
sounds good.. if you go home you can still hear it
do you have the address or phone number. a quick google turned up rydges hotel on capital hill.
You'll be lucky to get accomodation now.....Most people rebook for the following nats before they leave.
If you do get accomodation, you'll be nowhere near EPIC.
i got accom about 3km from EPIC and i just drove up there on saturday morning.. i called up friday night and couldnt find much but then i started to get lucky..
that hotel is the rydges eaglehawk resort ph 0262416033. it should be on their website. after further investgation it turns out that the map on Wotif.com: Hotels, Accommodation, Motels, Serviced Apartments, B&B - Online hotel bookings with instant confirmation was telling lies. its not a short stumble to the north its more like up near the border! but that wouldnt be a problem if u could sort out a sober driver or couldnt be bothered hitting the turps, they still got rooms for under $150. i did find a place in dickson that is within drunken trekking range but its $200 a night at least. have a look at that wotif website u cant go wrong
wat dates is it?
If Barbie's so popular, why do you have to buy all her friends?
thursday 7th jan until sunday the 10th
hmm really want to go had better start organising now lol
If Barbie's so popular, why do you have to buy all her friends?
couldn't help but notice a little rydges advertisement involved in this post so here is my 2 cents worth
- rydges built a hotel next to where i live
- they smashed down my fence
- they dumped concrete in my backyard
- they setup cranes in my backyard
- their employees/contractors threatened my children (and me obviously)
- they intermittently prevented me from entering / leaving my property for 18 months
- they paid off the council, surrounding neighbours and the police
- a pox on rydges and everyone associated with them in anyway
maggot scum filth - couldn't put it nicer.
if you stay in their hotel please destroy stuff and do a runner.
if you stay in their hotel watch out for firebombs.
what would jesus do ?
k joe dirt.. lol.. ill make sure to do a rockstar.. ive got a sober driver so thats good.. anyway, i cant really drink there because its a public event..
definitely accidentally...![]()
Im sending my entry off tommorow been for last 10 years but first time entering car can't wait. Few mates entering aswell
hope to see you there..
I will be there whooo. cant wait. And for those of you that are worried about staying too far away to walk to summernats, canberra does have busses and taxis haha. i live on otherside of canberra, about 30 mins away, and just bus it for like $3 haha. bus drops you off out the front of summernats
Australia. Love it or leave it
Hey guys, Rydges eaglehawk, I would NOT say is withing walking distance.. Comfortably. lol. If there is any accommodation left at these places, try the carotel motel, Formule 1 or the red cedars in watson. These are all within walking distance. Failing this, something on the main drag (Northbourne Ave) Pavilion, James Court Apts, The hotel next to the Dickson Tradies (forgot the name), backpackers hostel in Dickson are all within a $10 cab fare/one $3 bus. Then there is always the camping at the nats option. There is also a couple of hotel/motels in Lyneham and O'Connor which are again <$10 cab fare, or a fare hike. If anyone's got any other questions about the nats or anything close to it etc, just ask me or P.M me, I'd be more than happy to answer, I live bout a 5-10 min walk from Epic so I know alot about the area, and may even be working there this year.
