Another win for a Commodore!!!!

Hi all, just wanted to let everyone know (& brag a bit lol) that round #5 of the Sydney Dragway Track Championship was run yesterday. The Street Fighter class (13+ et's) was small but competitive with 3 Frawds, 1 Chev & 1 Commodore Ute (me). I'm very happy that my mates wife in the Chev did away with a late model XR fake & I sent an XW falcon & a cortina packing there bags Setting up an all GM final between me & my mates Mrs in her '36 Chev Hotrod, which I then carried on my days form & won the final in my STOCK 5lt VR Ute. Cast exh manifolds the lot lol. I was the slowest qualifier, cortina was #1, XR fake #2, XW #3, Chev #4 & me in #5. the cortina had a by-run into the semi's, Chev then had a by-run into finals & I had to race my way through everything & beat everyone to the end lol & that to me makes it even better that a $4500 Commodore kicked arse all day!!!!!

Yeah it is an awsome feeling. thats my 2nd win of the season & I finished 2nd at the last round to the cortina that I beat in the semi's yesterday (revenge is sweet lol). That now puts me in an untouchable lead in the championship as long as I front up for the last round at the end of next month....sweeeeet lol. Oh thanks for the congrats

Thanks 1FATVT I'm pretty happy with the ol' girl lol. Yep the only thing I've fitted is a genuine OTRCAI & the auto got rebuilt & a pair of FE2 springs in the rearend & removed the load helper rubbers or whatever they're called lol.
