You've still got 2 rounds just like the rest of the major capitals - Oran Park and Bathurst. Maybe if more Sydneysiders had shown up at the creek, they wouldn't have dumped it

The latest mail on Oran Park is that the owner is planning to rebuild it on another site. Alternatively AVESCO is hoping to push foward with plans for a street race around the Homebush site in the event of the closure of Oran Park so you will still have 2 races in NSW. Tony Cochrane even said on tv today "2 races in each of the major capital cities..."

    Secki,

I wouldn't worry too much. We will always have Bathurst, and i am sure it is not the last time we will see V8s at Eastern Creek, Especially with Oran Park going. In fact i can see Eastern Creek replacing Oran when it goes.

Plus, They really can't get rid of Eastern Creek. Next year there is only 1 true Drivers circuit on the calender. Thats Phillip Island. Eastern Creek is really the only other Drivers Circuit around.

What avesco needs to do is find a nice balance between the open circuits like Phillip Island and Eastern Creek, The tight (specator friendly) circuits like Oran and QLD Raceway, and Street Circuits like Adelaide and Surfers. Currently they don't have this.
    Now for a prayer...

To our god, who art made in Adelaide. Holden be thy name. Thy legends come, and championships won, on circuits as it is on Mount Panorama. Give us this day our daily grunt, and forgive us our burnouts, as we forgive those who choose to drive fords. Lead us into temptation, and deliver us a V8. For thine is the spirit, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever.
    HOLDEN!
