Would Be Interested to see how many of us watch the V8 Supercar coverage on Ten and to what degree?

Watch all the rounds on ten, plus all the associated shows - RPM, V8 Superstars etc.
Ten cop a lot of flack for their coverage, but compared to the crap 7 used to dish up to us, it's pretty hard to find fault. At least now in Melbourne and other AFL states we don't have to sit up and watch the races at midnight like on 7. I know some rural viewers may still have this issue, but I think it's more to do withe the rural stations than 10.
Plus with Neil Crompton, we've got one of the best commentators qualified to talk about the sport. He certainly leaves the likes of Mike Raymond and Allan Moffat for dead - by the time 7 lost the V8's these 2 were so out of touch with the racing it was incredible, and Doug Mulray at Bathurst??? What were they thinking??? Just going back and watching some old highlights tapes shows how far we've come and how lucky we are to have the package that 10 and AVESCO bring us.
i watch it if i catch it, dont mind a little motor sport here and there though i never really keep track of it or take sides.
though i love rally ^_^
attn Über geeks, i play Second life. Patrio Graysmark.
Yeah i love my motorsport and watch every round and attend the local round (clipsal), and like perkins i watch every other show that involves the V8's...love Superstars!!! and yes i agree!!! the commentating is great, love crompo and woodsy. Each year the V8's grow and each year we are getting more and more coverage on tele.........thank god for ten.
I watch bathurst on tv, thats about it. Generally weekends are pretty busy 4 us so I'm always out and about.
I am a regular watching the V8's except I watch it live on Bigpond every single round.
My biggest problem with channel Ten doing it is the huge amount of commercial breaks and it's generally the same thing over and over again. If I have to see that shell add one more time I am going to flip or the KFC ad for that matter.
On the other side the worst part about the 'live' version which Telstra does is the fact you can't go back and watch the nice stacks again.
ill always watch bathurst and sometimes catch the other rounds when i can. i am going to the mountain this year and next year i hope to make more of an offort to go to other rounds
I will either watch or tape the TV. Even tape if I am at a round as I work as an official and it's always nice to see us working. Or sleeping as the case may be.

I miss Barry. Good Bloke.
Also, the Poll should also include attanding rounds in other states. I plan to attand an interstate round every 1 or 2 years. Next year I'm off to Melbourne for the F1s but i am really looking forward to seeing both the F1s and the V8s fly through that fast left right flip flop on the far side of the circuit. Can't Wait.
Now for a prayer...
To our god, who art made in Adelaide. Holden be thy name. Thy legends come, and championships won, on circuits as it is on Mount Panorama. Give us this day our daily grunt, and forgive us our burnouts, as we forgive those who choose to drive fords. Lead us into temptation, and deliver us a V8. For thine is the spirit, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever.
HOLDEN!
ten/bigpond all good

Even in our sleep we happen to be right.

I was fortunate enough to do work experience at channel 10 Sydney back in 1999 and that included spending the weekend with the crew at Oran Park for a round of the V8’s.
They’re a very professional and friendly crew and don’t mind having a laugh, typical of channel 10 really. They even gave me the opportunity to follow a cameraman down pit lane holding the audio/video transmitter when the cars were pitting, it was awesome. They let me have a go at vision switching and I got to meet and sit with the commentary team, including the legend Barry Sheene.
I've watched every telecast of the V8's and if I couldn’t watch it, I would tape it. Same goes for RPM and any other motorsport programs on 10.
Was a shame to hear that the viewing figures for the Tasmanian round of the V8’s last weekend on 10 were under 100,000, but it was good to hear that there was a record crowd of more than 62,000 down there.
I don't mind Neil Crompton in small doses but would prefer it if Leigh "stiffy", Mark Oastler and Billy Woods would take over the commentary for the V8's again.
There you go I've thrown in my 2 cents.
Cheers.![]()
