I think lowndes being so close can be put down to the fact that he knows bathurst like no one else whereas buttons never raced on it before there only so much a simulator can teach you.

Still im very impressed by Lowndes time.

I would say a qualy pace in an f1 would be in the 30's i doubt they were pushing that hard but they sound fing amazing over the mountain

yeah, Pub's on the money, clowndes knows the track well, button doesn't. somehow i don't think button was pushing to hard in the F1 car

yeah they were only running the car at about 80-90% of what it could do... get last years red bull car and do it on a race weekend not a green track and it would probably take a few more seconds off
