I can't bear to watch it, Neil Crompton and leigh diffy are doing the whole bloody commentary which I wouldn't mind if they did their homework but to still be talking about an almost crash 5 laps after it happened and also numerous mistakes from Leigh diffy I can't bear to watch. I do want to see the result tho so will be using the mute button LOL
What are you thinking channel 10? Bring back the ITV commentators at least they know what they are talking about.
Very disappointing.
totally agreed, im watching it now, these guys are useless, im also not impressed
Yeah I was wondering what happened to the pros? was that only a one race thing? I hope so
Yeah, i think this was a one off thing. Channel 10 seem to pick 1 OverSeas F1 round a year to go to. This year it was Brittan.
It also occured to me that seeing as ten has lost the V8s, they may not really care if they keep the F1s etc. I would expect the Motor Sport coverage on ten to decline from now on.
Now for a prayer...
To our god, who art made in Adelaide. Holden be thy name. Thy legends come, and championships won, on circuits as it is on Mount Panorama. Give us this day our daily grunt, and forgive us our burnouts, as we forgive those who choose to drive fords. Lead us into temptation, and deliver us a V8. For thine is the spirit, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever.
HOLDEN!
Who did 10 lose the V8's to? Hopefully not 9.... I'd love to see SBS have the coverage for V8's, SBS sports are the best covered sports of any other station.

V8's are heading back to 7. Will be interesting to see how much money gets thrown at it considering how much they have forked out for the AFL coverage as well.Originally Posted by minux
agreed, they do a good job on V8s and local motorsport but not international

Maybe Neil Crompton will go back to channel 7 and they will drag
Gary Wilkison and big old Mike Raymond out of the closet....
Channel 7's coverage of the V8's in the past was woeful.
Would need to improve greatly to get anywhere near 10's coverage.
I'm sure channel 7 will need to line up one or more expert commentators for V8 supercars. Crompton is very knowledgable about motorsport in general has has raced in the cart world series for a short time and has had a long career in Australian touring cars and v8 supercars. I'm kinda glad to see a change, it can only help the sport to grow as the bidding rights for coverage get higher. I think we need another catagory of touring cars to come along. I'm tired of V8 supercars' "parity" rules and all the project blueprint stuff. No one car is unique, they use more control components than ever and underneath all the cars are basically identical.
i dont think C10s coverage was ever bad, hopefully its not a step backwards going to 7, hopefully 7 will play less ads 10 were shit for ads
Have you heard the latest? Salary cap style setup, more control components such as clutch cylinder heads etc etc...its turning into nascarOriginally Posted by ucwepn

Up here we get the midnight coverage 2 weeks late thanks to the footy commitments.(Both AFL & NRL) I would be glad to see any live motorsport no matter how bad the commentating.
to be honest i cant really fault 10's coverage of the v8 supercars ever since they got the rights in 1997. They are much better then channel 7 ever was, i think this will be a definate step backwards!
Mike Raymond's a little busy with his role in Family Guy at the moment I thinkOriginally Posted by WAGON MAN
