Craig Lowndes is a Bitter Sore Loser
Just saw Craig Lowndes on Sports Tonight, to cut his interview short it was, if Rick didnt tap me and spin me round i would have won the race and the championships. What would happen if it was the other way round. lowndes would be all smug about it and say accidents happen in the races
The first races he was all over Skaiffe like a bad rash and then in the second race kept hitting Tander over and over again.
So i am starting a poll is Craig Lowndes a Bitter Sore Loser

You need a didn't watch the race option....
But, of course he's crabby, he has no bragging rights. But, he should still show some happiness for the winner.

It was a race incident... simple. The drive through penalty for kelly was the right choice.
Kelly would have won anyway, Lowndes was being too defensive early on and Kelly was itching to get past.

there was very little visible damage to the front of Kellys car and the rear of Lowndes car , so it wasnt a big nudge . This sort of thing has happened all year and a drive through penalty has always been sufficent on those occassions

Something that ****ed me off was lowndes seem too have his finger on the radio all day more then the gear stick.
The fact phillip island is a place of blocking as everyone does, But was it only the cars in front of him that came under question .. They are hardly going too say here you go Craig all mate old pal pass me left side old son old man so long go through. And he should know that, But he moaned too rolland all day. And even Rolland was getting ****ty with him at times telling him too race and calm down.
If wincup was fast enough too get near the front, He would have run block for lowndes forsure over kelly. But no-one would have said a word.
I see it as two faced, When ingall crashed Skaife at Eastern Creek the ford boys loved it.. Last race of the year it was great for them. But who isn't laughing now?, That is what i remember and that is why i'm a little less sympathetic too them now. I remember the jokes and laughs and even the pics they made of him waving his Ford badge at ingall as he drove past swerving at him.

I still believe Lowndes to be the better driver than Rick.
I was glad to see a Holden take the championship - but not that way.
It has been well mentioned here in other threads that the points system is all wrong. Until Sandown and Bathurst it could easily have been Garth Tanders championship.
Bring on next year now - with the new VE and a revised points system.
I think Craig has every right to be upset. He did win more races and actually WON a round or Two.

And you wouldn't be bitter? Anyone that lost the championship under those circumstances would be, you would always be wondering what if, whether the nudge contributed to the accident or not.
I'm not a Ford fan, but i believe that Lowndes is way better than kelly.

You have to admit, it was pretty funny, it wasn't like he was actually going to hit skaife.

lowndes is probably a better driver then kelly but kelly had the measure of him this weekend and the holden was faster it's just that kelly has never been an agressive as driver like some others. 9/10 times ford gets there own way and yesterday they didn't, ford have gooten away with a lot more then holden ever did. time they got over it. if your goingto look at race/round wins the championship should go to tander but kelly played by the rules this year where you are rewarded for consistency and won. looking forward to next year. Problem is whoever is the better driver doesnt automatically make him the champion..fate has a huge factor.Kelly doent have the experience and couldnt be considered to be as good of a driver as Lowndes....but that still wont get him home on that fact alone.
When Lowndes is interviewed he always puts on his painted on smile for the cameras...bet he didnt have it on late sunday night.....kelly looked like the cat that swallowed the canary after the race and although he isnt proud of how he finally won the championship it has to be said he did a consistent job to win the 2006 crown finishing every race....
How would Lowndes feel if it was judged that Rick should be disqualified for what he did in race 3.....would that be a hollow victory for Craig or would his wingeing pom boss think that was fair.?...Would he be high 5 ing the first time he if the decision went his way...I dont think so.
Lets not turn our sport into a battle of the lawyers.
Do I remember a formula one champion doing the same thing to claim the title and that time it looked blatant and he even admitted it a few years later.

fair go though, what do you want him to say?
that he'd probably have lost anyway, wasn't that confident? he's a racer, of course he thought he'd win.

Craig won four rounds this year.
I find it funny how people on here bag him, when a few years ago he would have been the golden boy.
