Default Hamilton V8's

Just wondering how many of the people in this forum are going to Hamilton for the V8's this year.

I have taken 2 weeks leave starting today so that I can drive down on the Thursday before to my camping ground then drive back to Auckland on Monday as the traffic back on Sunday night is going to be unbelievable.

You had better be taking a Video camera and digi cam to get vids and pics.

Don't have a video camera but do have a Canon 350D. Gonna take a lot of pics. Will then see what the best ones are and will post them

Damn, I couldn't have gotten a much better spot. Winchup's little meeting with the wall happened right in front of me. I have a pic of the steaming wreck of Winchup's car along with some others that I will post once i have them sorted.

i made the effort to travel from melb and go watch and honestly wasnt that happy i was in the pit straight grandstand and could only see the frigin roof of the cars lol had to laugh they needed to really set the grandstand back further and on a greater angle considering it was their first time holding it there ill let it slip, but how the hell could they over look that in the construction stages....other than that was a wonderfull day will be back next year.....

I had a mate in the same place, he couldnt see much as well, I was cheap and got a general pass and set up camp on the ford sweaper with my brother right on the fence where the porsche crashed on the Sunday. Had a good view of one of the big screens and had the loud speakers right in front of us as well. Am planing to be in the same spot next year. Even better was the fact I live in Hams so didnt have to travel out of town to get there woohoo!
