Who else is tired of seeing HRT lose in the pits?

I know I bloody well am.

What is with the pit crew that HRT are using? Are they a bit too old and past it? You know, the years wouldn't be kind to a pit jockey, and they'd get a bit slow-moving as the years roll on by....

That's what it looks like to me - they're just not at all on the hustle. They just saunter around until they get it done - I'm sure you could get a quicker wheel change at Beaurepaires! Meanwhile the driver's sitting there waiting, while the competition are on the jacks for half the time, and flash out of the pits in front.

Sack the useless bastards. They've cost their team victory WAY too many times. The Triple 8 pit crew are like greased lightning! They obviously drill on this stuff over and over until it's just clockwork - they really are something to see. It's amazing how quickly they turn those Vodafone cars through service. But the fact is they're only human - and with sufficient practice there should be no problem for another human to do it.

But the HRT crew?? Jesus, I reckon they ought to get the dealership apprentices out there - at least they might be able to move with a purpose. The useless doddering grand-dads they have doing it at the moment are about as handy as an ashtray on a motor-bike. (and by the way - yes, I'm a grandfather...)

Yes I probably get too worked up about this - my missus reckons I do - not half as much as the drivers though! And what about the team manager?? MANAGE THE BLOODY TEAM!! Have YOU ever watched the Triple 8 crew at work? If your pit crew don't work right, take steps to improve it. If there's dead wood holding the team up, cut it away!

Couldn't agree more.
They cost GT the second race on Sunday and should be sent to bob janes for a 101 in changing tyres!!!
They seem so blasé about it, and you just cant when races come down to the milliseconds.
If they cant do it quickly then they should get some people who will!!!

well ... I saw this on the TV show the games a few weekends ago, talking about the F1's

"their the worlds fastest car but the race isnt won on the track, it comes down to a bloody good parking job in the pits"

I have to agree tho Phreddy, they need us! I can get the wheels off the Acclaim quicker in my carport, and andrew can strip out the entire interior in the same time frame

Although I do know sometimes it has acctually been a failed air gun or air supply which doesnt help, bit in general yeh, they need something.

But yeh it sucks, some of the mechanics at work are now glueing themselves to the TV to watch the V8's so they know how to stir me up on Monday at work grrrr

If the roumers right (about Skaifes retirement as a driver) next year could potentially be a turning point but we'll see, sounds like he's trying to poach some of Fords up and coming talent so we can do what them buggers have done to us "oh he's a Bathurst and Championship winner,you took the gamble, he learnt to drive in your car, but we got the results hahaha"

DNF'd- in this case D' Alberto. Served him right.
