    Default HSV unveils E2 range

The covers off -- we can now show you the new face of Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) -- and it's an aggressive one at that. Wearing the new E2 moniker and high intensity daytime running lamps, the latest HSV range has been perhaps the best kept secret of 2009.
In the face of errant internet teaser ads, an accidental photo leak from a Federal Government transport agency a fortnight ago, and one of Australia's key motoring magazines throwing a spanner in the works with subscriber copies breaking a strict embargo, full details of HSV's new E2 range have remained under wraps -- until now.
So what's new? The big news is that the flagship GTS returns to hero status, and has more power (325kW) and more performance than the rest of the HSV models. The other big news is that HSV has undertaken more visual changes from the base Holden stock than ever. This is especially important, in light of the fact that the MY10 Commodore has no external changes other than a badge and an extra exhaust pipe on the base model V6.
All HSV E2 short-wheelbase models get all-new front bumpers with Audi-Porsche-style LED daytime running lights, and (with the exception of the Seantor) the familiar twin nostril vented bonnet from the Pontiac G8. At the rear, E2 sedans get a technical-look bumper and large rectangular exhaust outlets similar to Mercedes-Benz AMG cars. The Maloo ute and Tourer wagon feature carry over rear-ends and pipes.

did sumbody say ugly.... dont know what HSV were thinking. the front end is way to busy with all those lights, strips and bulges. the rims are hideous and the back end is just plain weird. They r tryin 2 go all euro with those audi rip off lights and have failed big time. But you know what, it will still sell well coz its a HSV and the cashed up morons will buy it coz its the latest and 'greatest' model.

Spac mobile :P, that's worse (way worse) then a normal VE, what ever happened to the word style?. You dont make a car better looking by inserting more holes in the panels than multiplying that by ten to try and get an even more impressive car :P

They tried to go european and failed...

The thing looks like the love child of an Evo 8, a trd, an audi and a VZ Monaro.

And the bottom of the front kit has buldges like a vt/vx.

Way too busy... the GTS in particular.

It's a worry, the SS and the HSV's in the VE series where the only good looking cars in the range... now they looks 'interesting' aswell.

fark me...the senator looks ok and the grange look ok, but i think these win HSV's ugliest ever cars....even uglier than the avalanche fail.

Just wait for the Top Gear, "what were they thinking" section! They must be trying to go bankrupt! I reckon CHARGDVT was spot on the money. The people that but these cars wouldnt care what they look like, as long as they r the latest and greatest. Wonder if they will make the series 1 VE HSVs go down in price? I know which 1 id prefer
