About time Holden got with the program. We all love out big V8s but the global market is looking at small capacity engine with forced induction.

good to see some progress. Will definetly consider a TT V6 for my next car over a V8, if it actually happens.

While it sounds good, who wants a 2+ tonne car with a turbo setup?they are better off keeping an NA 6 and making the car lighter, not only would the car pick up pace, but would also reduce pollution massivley.

Because mass reduciton engineering costs a shit load more than power-train engineering does...

While you are correct, a lighter car is just a better solution over all, the time it will take to modify the weight of the car, they can release a TT setup a lot faster and appeal to the Fi market which ford has its dirty finger in... nothing stopping them reducing weight in the mean time.

I really believe that this would be a great direction for Holden to move towards as it would lock down another large market if of course the engine was better and the car faster then fords equiv!

Anyhow, it will be quite a few years before it's released. Might just change my crosshairs from maloo to the upcoming TT

Why would you replace the V8 with this ?. Still i'd buy the I6T over the V8 anyday, just not with Holden.

Maybe because it's produces more power then the current SS V8 without the fuel bill?

Apply the same logic to a bigger motor and you have the same outcome on a larger scale...
