325kw - yummy. This should give the Coyote a run for it's money....wonder what the Torque figures are. would be interesting to see a dyno power graph....
anyone think this engine will be more free-revving?.. they've done wonders since the LS1.... the LS2 in the vz/ve's feels alot lighter under foot, but could be sportier if it had a lighter feel. though guess the car has to cater for more than the sport-blooded feel...

Regardless, the Coyote will shit all over it!
gm is part of chev you idoit
Just about all v8 motors are far superior in design. yet most still don't stand up against grandpas axe.
Nice now all Holden need to do is release a forced induction version of the 5.5L![]()
Hahahaha!!! There are no official power figures yet. Just "around 440 horsepower" which is is 328kw. Coyote is 335kw. Plus the Coyote get 600Nm of torque and 9l/100km efficiency. Not to mention many years of performance improvements to come because the first release is so detuned. GM are scared of the new Coyote - and so they should be. About time Ford stopped pulling their punches.
Got proof?
The Coyote is deliberately detuned. Ford only have to beat what's currently available. The at 335kw and 600Nm currently, it does - EASILY. When something from GM is confirmed with more, the Coyote will be released with a better tune. Bottom line. Buy both the GM and the Ford V8, take them to a tuner and have the both optimised and the Coyote will come up trumps.
Not to mention that peak torque in the Coyote is available from just 2200rpm.....
That's the blower help. LS motors have been supercharged since Adam was a pup. and most guys on here know their LS motors are detuned - like a politically correct journalist.
want forced GM product. Take ya pick. LS9 476Kw/819Nm, LSA 415Kw/747Nm. Should GM be worried.. err no. Oh, they're both detuned too to keep the eco warriors happy.
