Off topic a bit, but that's an interesting thought. Could the SLR5000/A9X/L34 ever be revived as a retro, like the Camaro or Mustang have been? Wonder what they would look like?

The closest we got was the Torana concept a few years back to warm up the public to the new VE styling. The GFC killed any glimmer of hope that concept could ever be bought to market. The idea of a 1200kg RWD small/medium sedan is very appealing to me but I cant' see it happening any time soon. GM does have a small/medium RWD Alpha Platform however Holden have already committed to the Cruze and having the recently announced FWD Malibu, that doesn't leave much room in the product portfolio. The closest you will get is a M3 if you have the dosh.

I think they should keep the old body shape like the one in my photo above and do something a long the the lines of Overhaulin'.All new and up to date running gear with the old school look.
