ok dude go an 11 plate, i got mine for $70 buks just a cheapy .... got mine from a well know family friend auto elec. Go the DEEP CYCLE BATTERIES or one with high C.C.A EG 440.
Deep Cycle batteries are designed to provide longer life performance when continually discharged and recharged. Unlike standard car batteries, which have thinner lead grids and porous active material (lead oxide based paste coated on to the battery grids) to maximise surface area for sharp bursts of power, Deep Cycle batteries are constructed with thicker grids of high antimony lead alloy and a denser paste of active material to withstand constant discharge and charge cycles. A cycle, in battery terms, is the full process of discharge (drawing power out) and recharge (restoring full power).
Starting power is known as Cold Cranking Amps (CCA's)
Many people mistakenly think that the number of plates in a battery is the indication of the power of the battery - ie. more plates means more power! While this can be, it's not always necessarily the case. A standardised system was developed whereby a more accurate comparison between batteries could be made. The surface area of the plates exposed to the battery acid is what determines the potential power. Meaning, less plates with a bigger area may provide more power than more plates with a smaller surface area. That's why CCA's has been adopted as the only true comparison of starting power between batteries.
