Another innovative idea from Bosch. The Bosch Super 4 operates on the state-of-the-art air-cushion-spark principle and is the first spark plug to feature four thin ground electrodes with one pointed, silver-plated center electrode.
This combination is unique in the world and has decisive benefits. The ignition spark always chooses the best path for reliable ignition according to the engine load.
Technical superiority - now available for your car.
The Bosch Super 4 does more than a conventional spark plug. In all situations, throughout its service life.
The advantages:
* Noticeable improvement in acceleration
* Significantly improved engine smoothness
* Superior engine versatility
* Electrode gap adjusted ex factory

since our trade ratings all got wiped, I thought i'd pipe in and say I bought a set of these and they kicked ass, eliminated a miss at idle instantly.
Nevyn was quick to post them too.
Can also vouch for Nev and these plugs. Best improvement was the set fitted to the VN, smoothed idle right out, and that little bit more responsive. The VT runs perfect on them, and noticed a slight improvement on fuel economy (about 1/2L to the 100km improvement).
I just ordered two more sets off him for the VS and the other VT, so its fair to say I think pretty highly of these plugs, especially at $30 its a bargain.
what about the vy?![]()
Hit the star under this post if it was any help to you =D
i cant see why they wouldnt fit the vy as it still uses the ecotec.
i can also vouch for these plugs as a mate bought a set off nevyn for his vn v6 and it made the car so much more smoother and gave it more go and used less fuel, just wish i could get them for the 5ltr
"A life lived in fear is a life half lived"
Ill take a set will be for a vs will they be ok with LPG cheers
Can someone explain to me how these would be any differant to ones in my car now? I'm coming close to having to change mine in at least the next 2,000k's.. someone sell me a reason to buy them.
thanks for write ups fellas, I wondered what had happened to the trade ratings...no ones been unhappy with them...
.......its a pity they are only recommended for the V6 and only VN-VT, I'll do a bit of research tonight and see what the difference is with the VY.......I've been told some ppl have put them in the 5L without any adverse affects, but I can't speak from any experience meself.
>>>>cds....have a look at the link, it explains a lot......they give a better consistent spark resulting in better combustion..... Bosch Spark Plugs, A performance breakthrough
I'm getting these tomorrow (Thursday 16th) if anyone else wants them
find out anything on vy?
Hit the star under this post if it was any help to you =D
I just had a lok, cause I was curious why they would suit a VT, but not a VX.
From what I can tell, all V6 3.8L Plugs are the same VN-VT, and all V8 5.0L plugs are the same VN-VT, at VX(and for VY) the V6 now uses the earlier V8 5.0L Plug.
http://www.bosch.com.au/content/lang..._Spark_WEB.pdf
Pages 66-67 explains it, note the Bosch Super 4's are not listed as they are a discontinued plug as far as Im aware, I just worked it out looking at the part numbers from all the other plugs.
EDIT: http://www.bosch.com.au/content/lang...senger_(2).pdf - Has the Super 4 listed, but not for anything after VT, seems the plug changed at VX and they recommend a V8 super 4 for VX, but nothing for VY.
yer, from what I'm told its the gap that is different and something to do with heat.......I'm still waiting to hear back from bosch as well
ok, just spoke with bosch again.........they r saying the VY plugs have a high heat range...u could use these, but the spark life may not be as long, so instead of expecting 100,00km u may just get 70-80,000km before needing to replace them......
so in the end it has to be up to the buyers if they wish to try these or not....bosch won't take any responsibility and if used in anything other than VN-VT V6 the warranty will be void
just bumpin up before I get these tomorrow
i got a question, whats the differnce between these plugs and say Ngk Iridium spark plugs? and what brand is better Bosch or Ngk?
cheers lads
the Bosch super 4 plugs have a silver plated center electrode and 4 ground electrodes.....the Ngk Iridium plugs have a iridium center electrode and a single ground electrode
not these particular ones, as bosch don't make them anymore, and at $30 +$8 postage Aust wide they are more than 3 times cheaper than anything equivalent on the market
is this for 3 sets of 6 or just 6?
I've used both and personally I prefer Bosch....but thats just my opinion
no worries mate....these r a cheap buy and will go well in ya VS....I'll have them again from tomorrow if u'd like buy a set
