OTHER INFO: Bought this sub with an amp, but realised they weren't matched very well. The previous owner said he had it sitting in storage for 2 years, and although I have tested it, I haven't actually used it myself.
The sub has dual 4ohm voice coils, which means you can wire it up as a 2ohm load, or 8ohm load. I stuck a multimeter on it, and found out that it was wired at 8ohm. The amp I want to use is not stable at 2ohm, however you don't get much power out of an amp at 8ohm, so i'm just going to buy another sub.
Buyer is to inspect sub and satisfy themselves to the condition. Once it's off my property, I won't take any responsibility for it being blown/damaged. I can hook it up to the sound system in my car so it can at least be heard working - but its not very loud due to it being wired as an 8ohm load (my amp produces 300wRMS @ 4ohm, so at 8ohm it would only be around 150-200wRMS). I don't recommend that you run this at 8ohm, my suggestion would be to find an amp that produces 500-600wRMS @ 2ohm, and wire the voice coils in parallel to make a 2ohm load. It should definitely pump hard.

hey mate if you change your mind about postage plaese let me know.
Cheers
Cheers for that dude, maybe we can work something out with no box if that may be easier. anyway, good luck with the sale and feel free to pm me if it doesnt sell.
can you wire these up to a stock head unit in a VX ?
yeah mate i don't see why not. the only problem is that the headunit would barely have enough power to move the cone. you wouldn't even hear it. your best option would be to buy an amp which has line level inputs (so you don't need RCAs), then hook up the sub to that.
having said that, i think it's sold and pending payment/pickup. will let you guys know.
Hi there mate
I'm definitely keen if you can post to townsville.
cheers

Check out my VP
Wanted to Buy VP Front & Rear Bar/Bumpers
unfortunately you can't wire it up as 4ohms. only 2 or 8, which neither are good for me.
