And Roos, was your reply to me? I can dig up the T/S specs if you want, i just have to jump on a different computer, other wise all i know is that they re rated at 30 watts RMS each. They are a very nice tweeter, they come with the AD6 set, which sells for $435...Let me know if i can help with anything else..

VN V6, sorry mate, i have no need for a car amp. I took the mids out of this set, for home theartre use, which is why i have left over bits n piecees...

Any ideas on the crossover point on them? I'm looking for something that will play down to 2000-2500Hz

Wait till i get the spec sheet off my other computer and i'll get back to you.But i wouldn't think so, that's a very low fq for a tweeter is it not? the mids, which they are paired with, have a fq reponse of 60-3000, so i'm assuing that would be around the xover point. Why does it need to go that low?

I got some of the 4" jaycar mid/full range speakers that were going cheap (the bronzy one CW2151) and their response curve goes to shit around that frequency. Most seem to be around the 3000 mark, but theres a massive peak there

EDIT: If I can safely run them to at least 2500Hz then I'll grab them off you

I would have the higher the fq, the more responsive the 4'' drivers were likely to be. If you want (if your able to test them) i can mail them out to you. have a go with them and see if there suitable. If not not, just post them back.

I managed to find this for them: http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...uff/CW2151.jpg
Its a bit shit to see, but that spike is pretty well centered on 3000Hz
Oh, and the Jaycar catalogue has their response as xx-1.5kHz, so thats even lower than I would have thought

I can't make out there response graph, but what sort of enclosure do you have them in? Jaycar reccomend a 5L ported enclosure, with a tuning fq of 50 hz. Built to those specs, then i can see why they would have bad response up around the 2-3000khz range, because that would be in a full range application. Your only wanting them for midrange correct?

Not in a box yet but will be 2-way bookshelf speakers built to specs.
I originally went in to buy them as midranges, but was told that they were better as full-ranges with tweeters. I didn't see the response graph til after i bought them, so now I'm stuck looking for tweeters to match

Well i don't think the AD's would be very suitbale. You could hit Joe up, and see if he has the full specs on the tweeters, but i'm pretty sure they are designed to work with a xover point around 3-3.5khz. Good luck with the search though, and the build.

If you still have them in 3-4 days I'll grab them off you, purely because I don't want to see them wasted. I guess I could find a use somewhere
