Hey all, this time next week (so this coming weekend) I will have the 4L60E box from my Acclaim going free to anyone that wants it.

Its done 155 000 kays. It has a bit of a whirring noise that's been around for the past 40 000 kays. I haven't had any loss of performance or drive, the noise hasn't got louder or softer, its just a cool sounding noise. Oil was changed at 100 000 kay's and again at 130 000.

Reason for changing the box is because of the noise, I've been told it may just be the oil pump needs replacing, perhaps a worn bearing or something, but I don't have the money or time for an auto place to strip it down to see what's wrong .. if anything at all. I've had the car to a few mechanics for regular servicing and not one has said anything about it off their own bat, I've had to ask them what their opinion is.

Another member Andyman has converted his VZ to manual, so while his auto was out of the car we've been kitting it out and rebuilding it, but its time to go into my car next weekend.

If no one wants this box its going to the tip.

I cant guarantee there's nothing wrong with it (thus why I'm replacing it to be sure) although I haven't had any issues. You may want to strip it for parts or perhaps if you have the time sell it on eBay and make money off it.

I dont want any $$$ for it, all I ask is for you to pick it up from Penrith.
