let me know what they are worth i got no ideas?
would you believe me i i told you they are worth $20 and I'm willing to give ya $50 for it?
Honestly though... they come up on ebay every so often... To give you an idea on price, the standard Level 3 VR-VS cluster can vary from about $75 to $100 for one with about 200,000km to 250,000km.
So, in saying that, how much does yours have on it (km wise) and that will give you a starting point. or aid everyone here in telling you what you should expect for it?
edit:
oops... you say you dont know the odo reading...
You can see the odo reading without starting the car... so if it's still in the car, you should be able to see it.
otherwise, if its not, i can tell you what wires to connect to earth and what wire to connect to a battery to tell you how much the odo reading is. (only 3 wires from the 4th connector, 2 go to earth, 1 to a battery)
i might be interested in the cluster. i will take it for 150 aslong as i can test it in my car to c it works and to find out the amount of kms. just call me on 0437685726
I was hoping to get alittle more then $150 mate,
Panther, can you tell me the wires,
I will test it, i doubt it would have over 200,000
If you look at connector 4, the one on the bottom of the cluster, looking at the wires side of the connector, it goes from left to right, across the top, then left to right across the bottom. pins 1 to 10, and pins 11 - 20. (For reference, Pin 1 = Pink with black trace)
You Need:
Pin 2 - BATTERY (Orange with a white trace)
Pin 5 - GROUND (Black with a white trace)
Pin 15 - GROUND (Black with a white trace) <<----- join pins 5 & 15 together first
(Note: touch pins 5 & 15 to the negative battery terminal FIRST... Then AFTER that, connect the Pin 2 to the positive battery terminal)
From memory, i think it beeps when you connect it... but you will see the ODO reading come up when you touch the orange/white wire to the positive battery terminal.
thanks mate, will do!
