Great subs for the small price, they cost me $40 each at Jaycar (found here). The mounts cost $60 for the pair from Holden wrecker.
The subs are 90wrms each and 8 Ohm. They are slightly larger than the stock 8" woofers found in Calais and Statesman's, as the mounts have a ring around the factory subwoofers I cut the ring off with a cutting disc then sanded it smooth to fit the larger diamiter subwoofers.
Fitting them is very simple, just pop out the 6x9 holes and screw them in.
The factory shelf in normal Commodores already have the holes for the screws as well and I bought a packets of 20 for them and still have 12 new screws left to go with them.
I bought them because I was after more bass without losing boot space, one thing lead to another and that plan went out the window. I ended up at a car audio sound off in Adelaide months ago and met a guy who gave me custom made dual 12" ported sub box for a VT for free, I just had to go and pick it up. The ports go up in to the parcel shelf through the 6x9 holes, so that's the only reason these have to go, I cant have both.
I was running them like this off a 400wrms 2 channel amplifier bridged (the same can be done for a mono), this will put a 4 Ohm load on the amplifier so it they be used with nearly any amplifier.

Sorry guys for some reason my notifications for this thread weren't coming to my email.
I would be willing to post to Auckland but its probably going to be pretty expencive, Ill measure the box and take the weight tomorrow and find out.
VZCALAIS190 Ill check the same for you too, I think at the most it will be around $18 for flat rate postage under 8kg but I will have to double check.
