I Bought a VR SII wagon on Saturday - paid a tad over $3k, but it's an optioned up ex-reps car and has km's accordingly, but in very good condition. Others I saw were around the $4-5k mark.

So.. I'd say it's worth close to what you want, just have to wait as the big car market is not exactly booming at the moment!
