on a series 1 the plug for the alternator is on the same part of the loom as the injectors....on the series 2 the plug comes up with the O connector (not sure what its called) that bolts onto the back of the alternator. on the two different alternators the plugs plug into different areas. the series 2 is more on the top and the series 1 is more to the passenger side.
