    Default Canon 550D Announced

    Typical, I bought my 500D about 6 weeks ago....:P Interesting though that they will continue to sell the 500D for the rest of the year rather than replace it immediately with the 550D.

    Its not unusual for Canon to run multiple bodies in the same family, 450d/500d been selling alongside one another for a while, the 450d will probably drop out and the 500/550 combo be the baseline now...

    Why would you upgrade? It is fair pointless upgrading because of a few mp and slightly better video.
