Basically,
Just say what you think needs improving and how the photographer could acheive that.
Ill start with this;

97 WRX AWD
Tein Coilovers + EDFC Dampener Control - Whiteline heavy duty Rear sway bar - Whiteline Droplinks front and rear
Turbosmart dual stage boost controller
IHI VF34 Turbo - XForce 3inch TBE - Oversized TMIC - Unichip PiggyBack ECU
PPG Straight cut 1st & 2nd, Slight helical 3rd & 4th and standard fifth - HD Clutch - custom braided clutch line
02 wrx 4pot front calipers - DBA500 two peice slotted rotors - Steel braided Lines

cool idea for a thread, critisim definetly leads to improvement, the sky is a bit washed out and I think a bit more needs to be done to make the car pop off the grey shed (makes it harder with a silver car), play with DOF a bit more to blur out the shed and general crap sitting in the back ground
Good shot though.... just my 2 cents
So use a bigger f stop, say f/11?

Tighter aperture, not looser. f11 will give you a very large depth of field. I see that was shot at 50mm @ f5. Depending on what lens/es you have, try something longer than 50mm and narrower than f5. Try to isolate the car from the background. If you have a 50 f1.8 try using it at f1.8 with focus on the car. The quality won't be great, but it will illustrate the difference. You would just have to lower the ISO/increase the shutter speed to compensate for the extra light.
Ok, this was from lastnight.
I know there is a lot wrong but im ready to hear it.
The pictures with the yellowish light i had White balance set to AWB but i dont think it coped (that was what the light looked like through my eyes though, really yellow)
But yeah, hit me up with some pointers
Cheers,
Davo.

Looks good. No EXIF data since you used CS4 this time, but I'd guess 50mm f4?
Bad points are, it's a bit flat, not much colour in it. Car could be more isolated with a wider aperture, but not too much wider. Looks like the depth of field ends not much after the rear end, so that's good. Maybe a tiny bit too wide, but not much.
I edited it for shits and giggles. Hope you don't mind. Just in case you see something you like, all I did was:
- Increase saturation of entire image
- High Pass Filter sharpen of original image, layer type 'Vivid Light', opacity 30%. Erased all of the HPF layer except the car, to help isolate/sharpen it.
- Selected all background/foreground except the car using quick mask/brush, slightly blurred.
- Desaturated windscreen as increasing saturation made the blue sky reflection too strong
effects - edited.jpg
cool it was 115mm at f/5.6 i put a gradient over it to darken the sky to bring the car out, but what you did achieved what i was attempting a lot better.
I dont mind if at any point you edit my photos, your more than welcome too, just as long as you do the whole steps of what you did as above :P
Thanks.

ok why do I get the lines around the door? Got a cheap kodak.
Had some other pics of the car on here and one guy said they look grainy.

the lines seem to just be image compression to me. if you set the camera to save at 4 megapixels or something like that it won't compress to display in browser. not sure about the grininess, I can't see any grain in it. I'm looking on my tablet though, doesn't show everything.
If you can get the light spread more even across the car on both shots, the get less exposure on the background of picture 2 they'll look sweet.

Its not a commodore but its a holden EH. i like this shot but there is a part where ive over exposed it up the top as i was using the sunlight and no flashes.
Jacko2 i love the pictures of that clubsport i wanna try something like that with my vs what lighting have you used?
South Australian VS Commodore driver!MY CARS
Cheers mate, the lighting is all natural, i just positioned the car in the spots where the lighting was the most effective. It took a while to position as i was getting some really bad reflections off the walls. with your premier shot i would have shot it a little higher and then the reflections where you have over exposed the image would have been cut out as the subject would have been shaded. It's also not as sharp as it could be so remember to focus on the subject and not its surroundings.
Here is another but i didn't lead the front enough,as i use stuff all post processing i frame my shots tight so i had no room to move the image over.
and this is my first ever attempt at an interior shot
