So ive started my own little facebook page (www.facebook.com/blkss0p) just taking photos as a hobby.
I know i have a lot of work to do but i feel as if everytime i go out there i get a little better each time.
Im using a Nikon D700, 18-105mm f3.5 lense (most of the time) and a manfrotto tripod. along with a bunch of filters and gadgets.
Here's some of my work.

In some of those earlier photos i do as hozy pointed out to me on facebook but i took his advice and bought a screen calibration thingo which helps me see the true colours better. I still do on occasion.
Also what helps is shooting in RAW they come out all dull at first unlike jpeg which does all the "corrections" for you

If you wanna practice, I really want some mad night shots with the Melbourne skyline/Bolte Bridge etc in the background.

EDIT: I also really like the plane picture - minus the fact you chopped off the bottom of the rear wheel

Nice job on the Astra one, black cars are a prick of a thing to do at night.
If you want a good spot for Bolte shots this is directly opposite Etihad, we just drove up onto the waterfront. You can also get directly under the Bolte, from just near Fishermans Bend from Lorimer street, I haven't tried there yet, but it looks like a good spot from what others have done there.

Yeah, my talent with night shots is pretty much zero. I also have NFI how to edit the photos either. I just set the ISO pretty low and run like a spastic with two LED torches until it looks halfway decent.

What do you think I do? haha Everyone thinks I'm mad when I run around with torches at night time car shows.
The top one looks great, car is nicely in focus, only thing is the background is a little blurry. I normally do a low ISO to avoid grainyness, but have been trying to raise it and try moving night shots, with some success. I might start a thread with some of my photos rather than clogging up kitos.

Why does everyone think i chopped off the rear wheel? Its parked up on an angle, it slants right next to the road like a ditch lmfao

I'm one of those guys who run around with the torch, bought 3 different lights before i figured my snap on one from work works the best

Thanks hozy :)
Lots of room for improvement

EDIT: would gladly take pictures of all your cars :)

EDIT x2: I think you guys are using auto focus at night causing the car to be blurry, i shine the light on the car first then manually focus the camera until the car is in the field of depth. which i also learnt from hozy
