Default how do I make an image high quality

I'm after help, my cricket club need's our club logo in high quality. The biggest image we have of the logo is only 500x600 pixels. which is not big enough to make sharp print outs on a3 or bigger.

Can someone give me pointers on how I get it to be high quality?
I have photo-shop and the image is only 2 colours so i don't think it should be too hard,
but i just don't know what and how to use the right tool???
    Please help

    Cheers Zach

Problem is that with anything other than a vector-based image (basic square, circle, triangle etc etc) you'll find that scretching a photo normally means you get a pixelatted result.

Feel free to e-mail me the photo & I'll see if I can be of any assistance.

No dramas, I'll have a look tonight - no promises but hopefully i can help.

So it needs to be printed to A3 size correct?

A3 would be a great start.
A HQ picture that can change size and not loose quality would be ideal.
I don't want to take up too much of your time, so whatever result you get will be much appreciated.
    Thanks rich

Sounds like you need the image redone at a higher resolution. If all you've got is that small image and you want it to be a large prinit, you're going to have to either stretch the image or reduce the printing PPI. Reducing the PPI means that when you're closer to the printed image, you'll see the dots that it prints by. Stretching the image on the other hand means pixelated edges.

Someone with the skillz could probably stretch it out and smooth the edges off, Rch-13z would probably be your man there

Thanks for the vote of confidence Stressball

dzach - what we are best to do is make it the biggest it will ever be, and then have the option to re-size down which normally isn't a problem - stretching is normally the issue
