No real reason for doing this one other than possibly to create a desktop image for my PC.
This image is based on a popular web pic of a red VE

i bet that took a bit of effort and time but well worth it. now my destop wallpaper =D thanks
whats the technique called again ? I remember doing one a few years back in Digital arts class .
Yes I did those wallpapers myself. Just part of a little series I am working on at the moment so I thought I would have a go at a Holden.
For those photoshop users who want to give it a go
First I use a few brush and clone tools in photoshop CS5 to prepare the original photo adjusting where the highlights and shadows are in the image and removing stuff that will mess up the final composition. The prepared image can look a little strange and can take a little while and a bit of trial and error to get it right but its worth the effort.
I then use a photoshop plugin called Fractalius to generate the highlights and fractal strokes etc before using various layer masking and blending modes to blend the fractal and the original image.
