    Default Static89's HK Ute

    I got a HK kingswood ute given to my by a freind , conditions are i have to do it up, ( he is going to help) needs a Fair bit of work,

    its a HK kingswood ute 186 red motor 3 speed column shift Pics will be up shortly

    Work needing to be done
    Both front guards need rust repair
    Drivers side floor
    Drivers side panel behind the door has to be cut out and repaired then welding back in
    Drivers side rear quarter needs to be cut and replaced.
    Tailgate repairs and straightnd
    Small amount of straigning on the tray
    Passenger side rear wheel arch has dent needs popping out.

    Re-assemble
    Paint ( white)
    Things i need to source are

    Dash pad
    Bench seat ( possible retrim)
    Some Chrome trim
    Toruno cover and toruno clips

    Things i have considered modifying
    eliminate bench seat source buckets
    Manual on the floor transmition
    V8 conversion

    good luck with the ute, I'm a big fan of hks and would love to see how this ends up. Do you use oldholden as well as jc?

    i dont use old holden to much, i am on it tho, it will be a good project once im done, im not doing much to it at the moment. im waiting to concrete the yard and put a shed in ebfore i really hook in with it.

    Keep us posted then. It could take a while though, it took us a year or two to put our shed (but we had to put up with council restrictions and s**t like that). Good Luck.

    I love EVERYTHING about this, except the idea to remove bench seats. There's nothing quite like sliding from side to side while drifting around a corner

    lol mort, i have decided to leave the bench in it, and keep the manual on the column and just put a carb 8 in it. and just upgrade the box.

    +1 Bench seat has more charactor.

    For a HK ute rust doesn't look to bad.... usually with these series are utes the tray is rusted to buggery.

    holy crap i thought mine was gonna be a headace, good luck man i hope u have deep pockets

    and ditch the tonneu cover and clips, car looks much cleaner
