ok the list of things that i have put together so far
colour will be poison ivy the bloke said 2500 for the paint but i expect it to be 3000 ish with him doing the prep.
i will be putting a grange front end on it and a stato dash in it i already have them
engine bits and the amount i guess they will be about are
heads are off getting done that will be 2500 full and complete. thats with comp springs big valves and good valve guides and ported.
sump about 600i think it was. it will be a asr oil pan number.
i will be using the thicker 60 tho commetic head gasket.[from memory thats the thick one] i think they are 300.
i will be getting a pav tec stud girdle and chev stud kit. i think it was 480 for that. i may be wrong
full gasket kit i have no idea how much
and the t56 gear box will go back to mal wood to get the rear housing changed from a vl back to suit a vr plus transport 640.
so thats the start of it lets see how much it blows out of budget.

yep vl vk is the same. the one i have got has all the up graded main shaft close ratio 5 and 6 in it as well and the re-engineered short throw shifter all to suit 4:11 diff gears.7500 shit thats more than the vl i got this one out of but it sounds about right. ill find out how much is it to get the same one off mal wood that is still to suit a vr with all the upgrades?

this is part of an email i jost got from mal wood to fix the t56 from vk vl back to vr vs
I have spoken to Mal, and if you send your old T5, Bellhousing and pedals etc… we will buy it from you.
Also, if you sent your T56 we can strip it and change the rear case to suit your VR and supply the hydraulic system which I spoke to you about.
What do you think of this plan? We estimate the cost of the T56 work to be $750 as a change over.
The broken T5, and associated parts will probably be around $450.

well that works out ok i think
