vr v6 drag car

ok you might have seen this car in vr/vs section as my getting on road street car but now that i bought my ute i turning it into 1/8 mile drag car as i took it out on weekend and with no exhaust hardly (not enough back pressour) and a transmission that i couldn't hold in 1 gear coz of slippage and half bald hard tires and almost every thing in it apart from 2/3 of back seat i ran a 10.7 and all my 16 time cards i got it was ranging from 10.7 to 10.95 pretty much all day had two runs were i ran 11.2 and 11.3 where i just gave it all at start and lost traction.
hoping to run a 10 sec by next races in january
its just got a stock v6 with a pod filter at the moment

take center out of my head light and run intake from there
hope find some cheepo slicks
lower in back

Looks good maybe service the auto and see if its ####ed or if its just got old oil etc

If its for the 1/8th mile i say throw some 4.11's, shiftkit and corvette servo, a shitload of weight loss, stally and a foam tune should go alright

Im with all these as well, definately the lower gears with it been a auto and all, itll help you off the line a heap more. Apart from weight reduction it would be the best bang for buck for sure. I know where I could get you some 3.45 gears for bugger all, just deciding weather I want them myself or not first haha.

well i almost paid off some second hand slicks and half way taken front light out to make intake

thinking i will take all interier out next week some time when i get real bored haha

why slicks mate ? im sure some new tyres with small pressures in would be fine ? there is no way it will need slicks , we done something similer for a laugh and slicks/ f runners actually slowed the car down a fair bit

ok ive started weight reduction when i got bored so i took out: backseat, parcil shelf, back seat belts, spair wheel, carpet and underlay stuff, passanger seat and center console.
i also relocated my power/econ button

lol i scored the scoop cheep so i wacked it on but i would love some twin thottel boddies that kinda stick out bonnet a tat so the scoop can be used for its pupose

Yea, with the headlight that is, he's going to run air directly from the hole in the light straight into the throttle body, same thing as I have done to mine. Ram air style, it works a treat
