so they let you drive that thing left hand drive around warnambool?
You can get a permit for left hand drive cars.
In America these are cheap, a lot cheaper than to buy one here.
But if I was looking for one I would buy one from the UK, Iv'e seen Monaros there for as little as 7k (about 10k our money?) but they are a bitch to get registered from what I have read.
Nice fake thread.
Not sure exactly, a old guy where I used to work had a left hand drive 67 Mustang. He had to display "Left hand drive vehicle", I only saw it a few times as he mostly just keeps it in the shed under covers but saw him driving around in it twice.
I just looked up some info for the permit or registration, I noticed that you can't get a permit in NSW, QLD and SA for left hand drive cars if its under 30 years old. Not sure about other states. Maybe it doesnt apply to the Monaro after all.
He could mean its street registrable in the USA? I don't know.
Edit: Just saw soops post too..
I'm thinking it might not be his car and he's just posting this from another forum to show it? I didn't see him say it was his but I assumed it was at first.
Can't drive new LHD cars in vic.
Got an under bonnet pic?
reminds me of my mates 8 second fiat:
its got the LS9 in it, twin charged, twin turbs. HUGE intercooler (fitted in the boot) running straight LPG.
Pfffft.
Here's my mates 4 second twin charged, LS7 drag machine.

Its on the roof, don't you see it?
Mounted there for optimum efficiency.
oh right! there it is!
anyways, 2die. any cars pre 1989 can be left LHD and road registered. anthing newer needs to apply to ALL ADR's pertanant to the year of its build. so an 05' pontiac would mean it needs to be converted to RHD. and since its a holden chassis, it could also mean that it was ineligable for importation due to the fact it was available under full volume supply from holden.
all in all i would say that its a picture of a car taken off the net.
Definitely means that.
Its the same reason you can't import WRX's into aus unless you owned it for 12months in Japan.
I just copied and pasted this:
The car is a 2005 Clear and lien free Michigan Title Pontiac GTO, Black Met with black leather interior
sentence into Google. Everybody do the same and check out the link that comes up second after the JC one.....
