Should take some of your own advice, put a big block in the Impala instead of telling everyone else to do it

But a 454 in an HQ ute would be nice, with a Turbo 400 though. Although it is a fairly expensive operation.

Nice project mate, make sure you keep us updated, also make sure you keep the HQ single headlight front = WIN.

yes, single headlight is the best.

Only on an HQ. On an HJ-Z twin headlight is where it's at.

I dis-agree with the body though, needs a resto.

Have to dis-agree. I reckon, gun metal grey, no tinted windows (i like just plain glass on old cars), just the standard chrome work, slung low over a set of Centreline convo pros.

Engine choice is a personal thing IMO.

Just going to get her running first, I'd like to cut out any rusty bits and weld in new panels, and a new tray.. Replace the two seats for a bench seat most likely and work on the interior (definitely needs work). Other spec wise, would like to put in a 454 big block, or a huge supercharger if I want to be a twat. Still working it out, when I'm 100% will add all specs I want. No idea on suspension, brakes, all the more specific things yet.

Could possibly be a dark metallic purple, but if I was going to go that way I'd probs just go all the way and do pink lol.

Certainly did! He was a good bloke too, mentioning because some people are real difficult to work with. When I came and picked it up I had a friend come with his car trailer and they both helped push it on in the kinda nearly rain ha.

well tbh you did say just flat, plain white so that was boring. adding detail, as above makes is seem a little more interesting.
