mad conversion only one ive seen with a l67.
Thanks mate. When it was first converted, i'd never seen another one. There are a few L67 Toranas around these days though.
have you got specs on the engine/driveline?

I wouldn't go any smaller than 87mm on a stocker.
Engine:
L67 (obviously)
Yella Terra Tower of Terror intercooler (52mm plate)
Comp cams XP hot cam
Crow Cams valve springs
Comp Cams Modified retainers
Rollmaster double row timing chain
Deleted balance shaft
Yella Terra 1.6:1 roller rockers
Ported blower and lower inlet manifold
Custom rear U bend
LS1 Throttle body
LS1 MAF
63mm pulley on Yella Terra snout
Yella Terra billet fuel rail kit
Stock injectors (for now, see how it goes)
Custom 1 5/8" extractors
twin 2.5" into single 3" exhaust (2 muffler so it's not loud)
Trans:
Turbo 700
B&M shift kit
Corvette servo
2800 non lock up converter
B&M Quicksilver shifter
These are all new additions for this build, it used to be a T5 manual.
Diff:
HQ V8 10 bolt Salisbury (shortened)
3.55:1 gears
LSD
Shortened VN Commodore 28 spline axles
VN V8 Commodore 4 wheel discs and VN master & power booster.
That's about it.![]()
Fark that must be a fun car. You may have already said this, but why the switch to auto?
Just got a bit sick of the manual, that's all. Mabye i'm getting lazy, but i just CBF changing gears anymore.

Was getting 200KW at the treads before the cam swap. Not really sure what it will make this time, just have to wait and see.
Can't really answer your other question as i've never driven a V8 Torana believe it or not. However, as far as performance goes, i'm tipping it would take a pretty strong 308 or 355 to beat it.

You win the opportunity to watch 295 wide tyres on 10" rims get squeezed under the back of a hatchback Torana (without going the easy way and bolting a set of flares on).
I admired this thing before you started to strip it. Can't wait to see the finished product, good work mate

This car (or any Torana i ever own for that matter) will never see a set of flares. I reckon Toranas actually look better without flares, i like the body shape just the way they are. I'd much rather move the tubs inboard than put flares on.
Anyway, made some measurements tonight, should be able to get the 10" rims under the bum without too much trouble.
LOL, thanks mate. After all this work, it certainly won't be for sale anytime soon.
