Will combine a few ongoing threads into one, apologies if events are missing...
Short history is i've owned this for around 5 years, second owner. Its factory 173 engine died in 91 and it was sent to Bill Lee (then HDT) for a new engine. A pretty wild 202 was installed but it hasn't done bugger all k's since. Has a HDT tag on the block and a few stickers here and there. I persisted with a 26/30 conversion but couldnt keep it under the bonnet so sold all the bits off and went the LS1 route. I have recently bought a hatch aswell for a future project
Rough specs:
Cammed/headed LS1 from DVLSADVOC8 on ls1.com.au
Performance wholesale heads (cnc ported)

The VY R8 rims suit quite fine for now, i'm set on pro stars when its up and running
THE ENGINE IS IN.......... #### YES
I also done a test "align" of the VY R8 rims
mmmmm export
After much ****ing around the Hopper Stopper big brake kit with commodore pattern is fitted... put the VY R8 rims on to!
Nice project. I'd love to get a nice tidy LX sedan like that to have as a daily.
I have to disagree on the wheels though, they just look all wrong. Each to their own though i guess. Will look perfect with the Pro stars on it though....
