I like the XW's better than the XY's, almost bought an XW GT replica a few years ago. All the GT gear except it was a six and 3 on the tree.

Keep it a 6 for P's, then v8 it later on. Pretty simple conversion in the old girls.

although a different car: my mate asked to borrow my workshop one afternoon to swap his 6 for an 8 in his XT. i made a bet he wouldnt have it finished, when i showed up for work the next morning at 8am he was just adding the last of the tranny fluid.


this was all done by himself.

Hey mate not atm sold the xy i kept the 9 inch and gt dash work $4k pulled the diff out of the xw. Should be some progress soon damm rain holding us up and were building a garage in a few weeks cheers travis.

ask that friend of mine , he said sold his last wing a month ago and he doesnt have a genuine gt facia kicking around but expect to pay big dollars if you find one. he also said you can get them made up aftermarket anyway.

I'd imagine you can get repro ones. The GT has big aftermarket support with repro stuff. Wish I could get half the stuff for Toranas that you can for the Falcons, it is improving though.

most of the repros are rubbish, when compared to original pieces. you should see the extremes he goes when he rebuilds a gt. Has to be the right coated nut or bolt, even with the correct identification on the head.

Thanks guys there should be more updates soon hopefully one day its stinking hot than the next rain. Garage is being set up in a few days i have the gt dash complete genuine but the plastic facia is missing abit... i will just keep on checking evilbay. Were just going to paint it most likely all the painters just #### us around cheers Travis.

Ok guys. Got the car home today Came out great few minor imperfections.. But hey $2800 for 2pac in a booth proffecionaly and they supplyed pain whos complainig and the welded the gaurd sections on and lined up the panles But its not going to be a show car just a tuff street car cruser i am working on uploading pics but the keep on failling today me and dad put the tail lights on and locks and a few other bits. cheers Travis.
